Tween girls everywhere will be spared another insufferable season of radical LGBTQUIA, feminist and occult indoctrination from Netflix's woke reboot of The Babysitters Club.
In 2020, Netflix premiered an updated television version of the famous The Babysitters Club franchise, inspired by the popular book series from the late 80's and 90's.
Like most contemporary reboots, Netflix took a once-loved series and put it through a woke blender until it came out insane. The series promoted gay middle school couples, trans identities for kids, casual dabbling in witchcraft, and radical feminist hectoring.
A hip character with a gay dad had a "cool" aunt who was a witch - literally. Girls in the club routinely spouted off left-wing remarks about everything from gun control to late Supreme Court Justice Ruth Bader Ginsburg.
Perhaps initially out of nostalgia and curiosity, the first season did well enough to greenlight a second. The second then doubled-down on the first's seasons madness until any lingering audience for the show quickly dwindled.
Season one featured then 9-year-old male-to-female "trans activist" Kai Shippley as a younger-appearing child who gets upset when a doctor refers to him by his biological sex. The second season then added a "couple's lounge" where two baby-faced middle-school boys chat about their romance. These moments were just the tip of the iceberg for the different ways the show offended common sense.
According to Deadline Magazine, "the eight-episode Season 2, released October 11, failed to crack Nielsen’s Top 10 weekly streaming rankings and only appeared in the Netflix Top 10 for one week at No, 9."
“Although I am heartbroken not to be returning to Stoneybrook [the fictional setting of the show] for 20 more seasons, I am so proud of the incredible show our amazing cast and crew created and the way it brought joy and comfort to so many when they needed it most," creator and showrunner Rachel Shukert said in a statement.
Apparently, normalizing sexual confusion, gender dysphoria, occult practices and general left-wing lunacy is Shukert's idea of bringing "joy and comfort." Wider audiences apparently didn't share her opinion. Goodbye Babysitter's Club. You will not be missed.
