Note: Normal people might find some of this offensive. (We hope. Dear Lord, please!)
It’s amazing what we can learn from literature. The Lost Boys didn’t stay in Neverland with Peter. Sure, they never grew up. They just became liberals in the midst of a perpetual tantrum. The Lost Girls, too, apparently. Even the most recent presidential candidate Hillary Clinton loudly proclaims she is, “part of the resistance.”
Resist. That’s all liberals do now, often with messy consequences. We’ve had two separate days of protest in the last week as well as a major online whine fest over the hiring of someone who leans right -- by The New York Times of all things. As well as two separate dinners skewering Trump. And that followed the previous weekend of protest that was virtually indistinguishable from this past weekend’s silliness.
We had the latest Climate March, which was only slightly different than the so-called March for Science. Our friends from Cosmo went all agog about actor Leonardo DiCaprio because he marched for climate. DiCaprio is a notorious climate hypocrite who flies around the globe spewing carbon and collecting carbon plaudits. Cosmo claimed: “Your bae Leonardo DiCaprio was at the Climate March yesterday because your bae cares so much about the environment.” OK, forget that a “journalist” used “bae” without irony. Focus on him caring about the environment.
DiCaprio loves the environment so much that he flew in a private plane to the 2014 World Cup in Brazil and stayed on an oil sheikh’s 470-foot yacht. On New Year’s Eve 2013, he and Wolf of Wall Street co-star Jonah Hill flew from Australia to Las Vegas. The New York Post even said they chartered a 747, all so they could attend a couple parties.
Liberals, they hate facts. They just care about feels. And bae.
Then we had May Day -- not to be confused with Mayday! OK, maybe not confused, too much. The alt-left really showed its colors on May Day -- red and black. Red for communism and black for anarchy. Or red for blood and black for death. Both work for the alt-left. Stay woke, America.
The asylum escapees from ItsGoingDown, said of May Day, “Wage Slaves Revolt!” Clearly, they don’t get that slaves don’t get paid. And real slavery is a heck of a lot worse than working at McDonald’s. The snowflakes rioted in Portland, which isn’t especially rare. According to Portland’s KOIN, “Officers arrested 22 adults and 3 juveniles after declaring the protest had turned into a riot.”
And that spirit takes us to this week’s entries, starting with the folks from Salon. Please note, when Salon isn’t pretending to cover politics, it’s got “Gilbert Gottfried’s top 5 rappers.” If Trump can ever drain the D.C. swamp, he should try online media.
The Right Is Like Hitler, So Here’s The Reichstag Warning: Remember our buddy Chauncey DeVega? Well, he’s back and while Fusion is busy getting rebranded, we’ll have to rely on Salon for being the worst patient in Bedlam. This week, Chauncey interviewed Yale history prof Timothy Snyder, the dude whose new book, “On Tyranny: Twenty Lessons from the Twentieth Century, explores how the American people can fight back against Donald Trump’s incipient authoritarian regime.” Gosh, another lefty professor pretending Trump = Hitler. Or Stalin. Or Chuck E Cheese or whatever the alt-left claims that day. Here’s an actual Chauncey quote: “The election of Donald Trump is a crisis for American democracy.” Translation: Our candidate lost, whimper, whimper! Now they get to it. First, Chauncey: “In your book you discuss the idea that Donald Trump will have his own version of Hitler’s Reichstag fire to expand his power and take full control of the government by declaring a state of emergency. How do you think that would play out?” Then the actual quote response: “The first is that I think it’s pretty much inevitable that they will try. The reason I think that is that the conventional ways of being popular are not working out for them.” If you wonder why insane liberals are rioting, attacking Trump supporters and more, it’s because they read garbage like this.
You Are Racist Just For Reading This: Everydayfeminism is one of the more ridiculous liberal sites out there. It’s also the same one that teaches you how to heal from your “toxic whiteness,” and, no, that’s not a reference to some allergy to teeth bleaching. Naturally, they don’t believe you can ever be racist … to white people. This week they gave us a video showing: “Here’s Why Reverse Racism Isn’t Real.” They’re right about one thing, the reverse part. If you are racist, then there’s no need to add the word “reverse.” You are simply a bigot. Just not in their world. Actual quote one: “No you can’t be racist toward white people.” The video (I’m afraid to guess gender, here. It is Everydayfeminism.) adds, “to be racist, you have to have two things: privilege and power.” No, you just need to hate people based on their race. This is one of those videos from people who apparently never heard of Appalachia (Hint: filled with poor white people) or poor white areas of pretty much every state in America. Here’s our lefty friends at HuffPost (the new name) proclaiming, “most of the people who receive benefits from the Supplemental Nutrition Assistance Program are white.” Or 40.2 percent. Is poverty a privilege or a power? You don’t have to be an idiot to write for EDF … OK, maybe you do. For the record: Damian is a racist.
Liberals Redefine Beauty As Anything But, Well, Beauty: Beauty is only a web page deep. For the month of May, the nutters at Bustle have created what they call, “Beauty IRL” or Beauty In Real Life for those less hip. It’s “A tribute to the way we use makeup and skin care to express ourselves and embrace our identities.” It’s the beginning of May and already two of the stories are trans-focused -- the “identities” part of the propaganda. We’ve got, “20 Trans People Talk About The Beauty Standards They're So Tired Of,” and “How Eyeliner Defines My Womanhood.” This is a mixture of berserk LGBT agenda and clickbait designed to take advantage of people. The eyeliner story includes seven separate photos of the subject wearing a mustache and beard and in various stages of applying eyeliner. Actual quote one: “A trans woman who passes for cis or is mistaken for a man is still every bit a woman, regardless of how much makeup she wears.” I’m pretty sure most men would think and date otherwise. The author has graduated from being “publicly genderqueer in high school” to “I’m she/her, please and thank you.” Actual quote two: “I’m often given summaries of conversations that take place in my absence: whether I’m a cross-dresser; if I’m secretly a gay man; what the ‘arrangement’ is between me and my partner, a cisgender woman; why anyone with a body like mine, who is taking no steps to pass as cis, would want to be treated like a woman.” I’m not going to mock the author. This is part of a liberal strategy to redefine everything -- especially beauty. It’s the in thing, from Glamour telling us “That ‘Fat’ Is Beautiful,” without raising health issues, to numerous publications singing the praises of “natural beauty” or “hairy legs and pits.” Perhaps the next trend will be not to bathe. Oh, right, liberals are already doing that. They’re called antifa.
