Open Society Foundations crown prince Alex Soros hobnobbing with a notorious hack who believes Israel shouldn’t exist is more proof why the Soros empire’s commitment to fighting antisemitism is about as genuine as a fox’s sworn oath to guard the henhouse.
Soros posted pictures to his X account July 27 slobbering all over how communist philosopher Slavoj Žižek was “one of the greatest living philosophers, disrupters, and cultural critics — one of a kind in many ways.”
It’s worth mentioning that Žižek was the same radical who claimed that the creation of the State of Israel in 1948 was Europe’s “original sin” just one year following the horror of the October 7, 2023, Hamas genocide. As long as that “original sin” remained “unexpiated,” argued Žižek, there won’t be “peace and quiet in the Middle East.” But here’s the kicker: Zizek published that argument in the leftist global opinion outlet Project Syndicate, which is heavily funded by the Soros empire.
But Soros, who boasted in May about a $30 million phony effort to supposedly fight “antisemitism,” was just tickled pink over a mutual friend “introducing us and giving us the chance to exchange and debate our views.” To make matters more cringey, Soros even shoe-horned the New York Knicks’s recent NBA championship as a nod to communism: “Žižek may hate sports with a passion but wore the Knicks hat proudly when I told him @ZohranKMamdani was a fan!” Hey Soros, it’s “Orange and Blue Skies,” not “Red and Yellow Skies.”
Slavoj Žižek is one of the greatest living philosophers, disrupters, and cultural critics — one of a kind in many ways. But Soros’ artificially constructed persona as a warrior against antisemitism falls completely apart when one closely examines the data. MRC Business repeatedly exposed a disturbing trend of Soros funneling huge wads of cash into groups celebrating the worst massacre of the Jewish people since the Holocaust just days after the Simchat Torah massacre. Then-MRC President Brent Bozell and MRC Free Speech America Vice President Dan Schneider penned an organizational letter to OSF calling Alex, his father George, and the leadership to task for their grantees’ explicit antisemitic screeching. One analysis by the New York Post put the Soros grant total of pro-Hamas group funding at $15 million between 2016 and 2023 alone.
MRC Business also exposed a horrific 2007 pro-Hamas op-ed written by George Soros himself calling on America and Israel to “open the door to Hamas.”
Readers should be aware that the Soros empire is not communist itself, as the elder Soros has shown himself to be averse to being placed underneath any radical, pre-existing philosophical umbrella that he didn’t construct himself. However, the Soros empire has no qualms using communism as a vehicle to further its own ends, which would explain the cozy newfound relationship with white-nationalist-journal plagiarizing Žižek.
