Seth Meyers isn’t funny, but he’s definitely a joke. The Late Night host trashed Donald Trump when the Republican was President. Now that a Democrat is in charge, he has a new obsession: Moderate Democrat Joe Manchin. Rather than hold Joe Biden to account, Meyers slimes the West Virginia Senator as a corrupt, “ignoble” politician who “s****” all over the President’s agenda.”  

It was a challenging task but an esteemed panel of NewsBusters editors led by MRC President L.Brent Bozell and MRC’s Vice President for Research and Publications Brent Baker boiled down all the biased outbursts from lefty hack hosts, anchors, reporters and pundits in 2021 and declared a winner.

Given Kamala Harris’s extremely low approval ratings (28 percent), the networks seem to think making the Vice President invisible is the best kind of damage control. That continued on Monday night and Tuesday morning as ABC, CBS and NBC all avoided video of a baffled Harris trying to figure out how an electric car actually works. 

It has now been 22 days since a bigoted, anti-Semitic killer drove his SUV into a Wisconsin, parade, murdering six. Yet, not long after the Waukesha slaughter, the networks stopped mentioning the name of alleged killer Darrell Brooks. By December 7, ABC, CBS, and NBC had completely abandoned the story altogether. 

The Jussie Smollett hoax trial went to the jury on Wednesday, but you wouldn’t know it on Good Morning America. Since the start of the trial, the ABC show has offered ZERO coverage of the claims that the actor lied about a MAGA mob assaulting him. It seems as though GMA’s reporters and hosts are embarrassed of their past credulous, fawning interview with Smollett. 

It seems as though ABC News journalists and executives are still capable of feeling shame. How else to explain the network’s attempt to make everyone forget their initial (and very excited) coverage of Jussie Smollett's claims that a MAGA-loving mob assaulted him on a frigid Chicago night in 2018? In 2021, ABC is attempting to bury the story.
