There’ve been an onslaught of shows lately with storylines centered around the Black Lives Matter movement. On Wednesday, it was ABC’s A Million Little Things’ turn to create fear and division with lines like, “As a Black woman, I don't feel safe in my own body anywhere,” and, “There are police out there looking for a reason to take your life.”

Hollywood has long attempted to make racism towards white people not only acceptable but also humorous. The award for the most amount of derogatory “white people” lines, however, just might go to Peacock’s newest streaming comedy Rutherford Falls.

Another week, another social justice crusade on the NBC medical drama New Amsterdam. This time it’s global warming, which, according to the show, “means human suffering on a scale that we can't even imagine.”
