The media hall monitors are fond of berating the Bari Weiss-run CBS Evening News as Trump-friendly or “MAGA-coded.” So far, the network has quite easily managed to beat those allegations. Case in point: the former Tiffany network has decided to wade into the fake controversy surrounding the U.S. men’s and women’s Olympic hockey teams.

Early Tuesday, America’s new leading family — as in the Hughes klan, including USA Hockey star and gold-medal-winning goal scorer Jack Hughes  — wadded into network morning newscasts and were sadly met on ABC’s Good Morning America and NBC’s Today with attempts to sully their reputations and maim both their character and the entire men’s team for taking a phone call Sunday…

“Do you think you’re going to Hell?” This is apparently considered a highly newsworthy question by the Bari Weiss-led CBS Evening News. CBS not only aired Democrat Rep. LaMonica McIver’s question to the ICE director, but anchor Tony Dokoupil quoted it in his introduction to correspondent Nicole Sganga’s very one-sided story.

It is interesting what the Elitist Media evening news networks choose to report, and what they choose to omit. The CBS Evening News completely omitted, for example, the deaths of four Indiana Amish at the hands of an illegal alien truck driver. But taking down a rainbow flag? That’s just a bridge too far. 

Immigration is shaping up to be the hit-button issue of this midterm election. One drawback, though, is that these types of stories require a steady flow of victims in order to keep the issue in front of the public. With the unrest in Minnesota off the news, CBS News thinks they may have struck gold.

I cannot recall any Super Bowl halftime show ever needing a next-day explainer, but CBS News apparently thinks you need one after the Bad Bunny spectacle during Super Bowl LX. And, as fate would have it, CBS’s self-styled “Bad Bunny correspondent”, Lilia Luciano, handled the segment which quickly descended into outright propaganda.

After much wrangling, the Clintons will stave off a Contempt of Congress referral by appearing for a closed-door deposition before the House Oversight Committee, to answer questions regarding their relationship with Jeffrey Epstein. Two of the three broadcast network nightly newscasts did not deem this to be sufficiently newsworthy to air. 

Friday’s lead morning and evening network newscasts were no different from the Thursday shows in smearing ICE and their handling of an incident with a five-year-old boy, expressing horror over the “disturbing,” “haunting,” “powerful,” and “upsetting” images and narrative (concocted by a slew of AWFLs that seem to run the school district the child was attending). The leftists on social media have hilariously caricatured CBS News under new Editor-in-Chief Bari Weiss as “CBS Newsmax,” like it’s lurched dramatically to the right. But if you’re monitoring CBS in real life, there’s plenty of evidence that “classic CBS” is still operating. In recent days, CBS has proven to be worse than ABC and NBC in its tilt to the left.

The broadcast network newscasts, having devoted the bare minimum amount of time to the Minneapolis church incursion that resulted in massive civil rights violations, now devoted the bare minimum to the arrests of three of the protesters. And in the case of ABC World News Tonight, the story was completely neglected.

This week, there was another cascade of sophomoric hit pieces against CBS News editor-in-chief Bari Weiss and CBS Evening News anchor Tony Dokoupil for publicly expressing the need for CBS to regain the trust of more Americans. The new and improved  CBS Evening News burst upon the scene with a fundamental promise of getting the story right. While this new iteration is a significant improvement over prior news product, there remain opportunities for improvement. Case in point, the most recent reporting out of Minneapolis.
