CBS’s Stephen Colbert and NBC’s Seth Meyers both hailed socialist and anti-Semite Zohran Mamdani’s New York City mayoral primary victory on their Wednesday editions of The Late Show and Late Night respectively. Meyers was especially excited, as he claimed it proved that the “conventional wisdom” of Democrats having to move to the center to win elections “is a load of crap.”…

If one were only to watch Friday’s edition of PBS News Hour, they would come away with the impression that “rotten” political rhetoric is mainly a right-wing phenomenon. Washington Post associate editor Jonathan Capehart went so far as to claim Republicans are afraid “of being human” on the matter.

Former NBC and CBS anchor Katie Couric welcomed Congresswoman and progressive hero Jasmine Crockett to her Thursday recording of the Next Question podcast. While podcasting may be growing in popularity as a way for people to get their news, the habit of anchors to sit back and do nothing as Democratic guests say outlandish things remains constant because Couric would simply sit there…

The recent assassinations of Minnesota lawmaker Melissa Hortman and her husband have led the media to try to figure out a way to blame the Republican Party for it. On Wednesday, MSNBC’s Morning Joe invited Michael Tomasky, to elaborate on the current state of political violence and stated that “the MAGA grip on the Republican Party, with its winking at violence” is the problem.

Thursday marked the end of an era, albeit a brief one. CBS’s After Midnight hosted by Taylor Tomlinson aired its last episode as Tomlinson leaves the late night scene to return to do standup full time. After Midnight was originally advertised as a different kind of late night show. There would be no monologues, just a game show where a trio of comedians would improv answers…

NBC’s Seth Meyers continued his lamentations on President Trump’s response to the Los Angeles riots on Wednesday’s edition of Late Night. As Meyers tells it, Congressional Republicans, led by Speaker Mike Johnson, are “collaborating” with Trump to “turn America into a military-style autocracy” and would’ve ratted out the original Tea Party to the British in 1773.

MSNBC’s Nicolle Wallace travelled over to CBS and The Late Show with Stephen Colbert on Tuesday to promote her new podcast because, apparently, everybody needs their own podcast. But other than self-promotion, Wallace would accuse the Trump Administration of laying siege to Los Angeles and claim Trump just wants to “[bleep] around with the military.”

MSNBC’s Chris Jansing welcomed former Missouri Attorney General Jason Kander to her Wednesday show to discuss Defense Secretary Pete Hegseth ordering that the USNS Harvey Milk be renamed. Jansing could not tell the difference between civil rights icons and liberal icons as she asked if renaming such ships was “part of a politicization of the armed forces?”

On Sunday morning, CNN’s Fareed Zakaria re-aired an April 6 primetime special with the not-so-subtle title of The War on Government, which purported to be a history lesson on the conservative movement’s frustration with Republican politicians’ unwillingness or inability to shrink the government going back to President Dwight Eisenhower, which has culminated in DOGE’s blunt-force…

ABC’s Jimmy Kimmel continued his attacks on Republicans and their spending bill, called the Big Beautiful Bill, on his Wednesday show. While Kimmel repeated many of the misleading talking points he issued on Tuesday, this time he added his amazement that Republicans also go to church.

CBS’s host of The Late Show, Stephen Colbert, and ABC’s Jimmy Kimmel both dishonestly attacked House Republicans’ tax and spending bill on their Tuesday shows by leaving out crucial context for at least three talking points that made the proposal sound both reckless and “heartless.”
