You know that a public statement from a Democrat elected official is bad when the media steps in and tries to firefight potential public backlash. Such is the case with Senate Minority Leader Chuck Schumer, who gets five-alarm firefighting from NBC after saying that “every day gets worse for us.”

We at the Media Research Center have long argued that one of the most insidious forms of media bias is bias by omission: the exclusion of stories, or of key items within stories, that run counter to the ongoing media narrative. We cover those omissions as they happen, but they are usually limited to one high-profile story. But last night’s legacy evening news omitted THREE major items.

It happened again: an explosive report drops detailing the breadth, width and scope of the extent to which the government was weaponized against conservatives. And again, the legacy media are nowhere to be found.

ABC News has absolutely flipped their wig over what is commonly known as the “come to Pete” speech, delivered by the Secretary of War himself in front of the nation’s top military brass assembled at Marine Corps Base Quantico (VA). So much so that for a moment, correspondent Martha Raddatz seemed to forget Secretary Hegseth's actual job.

Despite the only group standing in the way of averting a government shutdown at 12:01 a.m. Eastern Wednesday are Senate Democrats, ABC, CBS, and NBC have all taken their side in demanding a permanent extension of ObamaCare subsides that were meant to be temporary during the pandemic (along with a whole host of other goodies, including refunding PBS and NPR). After a Friday World News Tonight report on the possibility of a government shutdown, ABC might need to rename its network DNC because throughout the segment, host David Muir and White House correspondent Rachel Scott combined to utter the phrase “Democrats say” three times while never once using the equivalent “Republicans say.”

Since Wednesday’s deadly attack on a Dallas, Texas Immigration Customs and Enforcement (ICE) facility by an anti-ICE loon, ABC, CBS, and NBC followed an identical pattern from their coverage of Charlie Kirk’s assassination by cowardly refusing to tie the incendiary rhetoric from their own side about the Trump administration and its supporters to crazies taking matters into their own hands. …

There’s no other way to say it: A new report shows the Trump economy has continued to defy expectations, but you wouldn’t know any of this watching the ABC, CBS and NBC evening newscasts.

Coverage of the horrific shooting at an ICE detention center in Dallas, TX took a turn for the nasty. Correspondent Mireya Villareal implied that the shooting was ICE officers’ fault.  

The legacy media have cast themselves as staunch defenders of the First Amendment as they circle the wagons for Regime comic Jimmy Kimmel. However, they are nowhere to be seen as Google admits to censorship of conservatives under pressure from the Biden White House.

The legacy media are content to further self-debase by reducing themselves to heralds of the triumphant return of Free Speech Martyr Jimmy Kimmel to late-night television. In so doing, they are turning their focus on the holdout affiliate groups still refusing to air Kimmel unless he can show proof of human decency.

The legacy newscasts decided that Disney/ABC’s restoration of Jimmy Kimmel Live! would sit at the top of the A-block- top story on ABC and NBC, and second story on CBS. In many ways, this editorial decision exemplifies both the media’s disconnect from the public they claim to serve, and the insular circling of the wagons for one of their own under duress.

ABC, CBS, and NBC were still enraged on Friday morning and evening over unfunny late-night host Jimmy Kimmel’s indefinite suspension from ABC over his vile remarks Monday spreading a conspiracy theory about the Charlie Kirk assassination.
