The daily DOGE drumbeat continues apace, and the strategy behind the “legacy” media’s reporting is now plainly apparent. They want to drive a wedge between President Donald Trump and Elon Musk.

Using the Trump administration’s announcement of tariffs against China as a hook, the CBS Evening News ran one of the weirder items in recent memory. After watching this story on the National People’s Congress, reasonable individuals are left to wonder whether the network should eventually change its name to XiBS. 

The initial reaction to President Donald Trump’s Joint Address to Congress at MSNBC centered around outrage at the fact that Trump would dare to honor D.J. Daniel, the 13-year-old pediatric cancer patient who was deputized as a honorary Secret Service agent. Their bilious reaction to that heartwarming moment is the truest indicator of how the night really went for them.

NBC’s reporting on protecting children from harmful content was undermined by an enormous omission: Melania Trump’s visit to Capitol Hill to advocate for children exposed to online exploitation. 

Once again, the CBS Evening News has decided to shine a victim spotlight on fired federal workers. This time, the focus is cast on the plight of a fired USAID worker.

In today’s DOGE-deranged news environment, stories seeking to spotlighting the adversity endured by federal workers often draw top billing. A new CBS Evening News report goes to that well again, and manufactures a link between the DOGE buyouts and Musk’s purchase of Twitter, in an attempt to imply malfeasance.

Today’s portion of the ongoing “legacy” media meltdown over the role of Elon Musk and DOGE in the current administration centered around Musk’s participation in the Cabinet meeting. Musk drew scrutiny in a way that escaped Jill and Hunter Biden as when they attended similar meetings.

The Musk-Deranged and DOGE-Deranged media appear to have stumbled on a new genre of goverage: the horrendous fate that will befall Americans due to DOGE cuts across multiple federal agencies. Reaching a new height of absurdity, CBS’s Ian Lee leads viewers to infer that DOGE cuts will lead people to be eaten by bears.

On-air reactions to recent programming changes continue to reveal the ongoing institutional rot at MSNBC. As part of a network-wide prime time meltdown, star anchor Rachel Maddow openly blasted the programming changes that led to the cancellation of multiple programs in addition to Joy Reid’s. 

As reported yesterday, left-wing propaganda outlet MSNBC made significant changes to their programming slate. Most notably, the network canceled The ReidOut, the prime-time vehicle for bitter race arsonist Joy Reid. It was unclear whether she’d come on for a farewell broadcast. But at 7PM Eastern time, we had our answer. Farewell, indeed.
