HuffPost's Fineman Associates Cruz, Trump with Flint Water Crisis
January 20th, 2016 8:24 PM
Perhaps hesitant to let a local government mismanagement crisis in Michigan go to waste, the Huffington Post's Howard Fineman sought to tie the Flint water crisis as an albatross around the necks of both Sen. Ted Cruz (R-Texas) and GOP primary frontrunner Donald Trump. Fineman made his remarks during a brief appearance on the January 20 edition of MSNBC's Hardball.
CNN's Jones Finds 'Incoherent' Palin Endorsement of Trump 'Horrifying'
January 20th, 2016 1:43 PM
Appearing as a guest on Wednesday's CNN Newsroom with Carol Costello to react to Sarah Palin's endorsement of Donald Trump in the GOP presidential race, liberal CNN political commentator Van Jones declared that it was "horrifying" to see the two together, and asserted that "Tina Fey couldn't have done a more incoherent, inarticulate sort of caricature of Sarah Palin than she did of herself."

January 20th, 2016 1:51 AM
The liberal and often inappropriate Triumph the Insult Comic Dog joined MSNBC host Lawrence O’Donnell to close out Tuesday’s Last Word and along with going after Ted Cruz, Sarah Palin, and Donald Trump, Triumph took a few witty shots at former MSNBC (and soon to be Russia Today) host Ed Schultz and Democratic National Committee Chairwoman Debbie Wasserman Schultz.

CNN Hounds Pataki on Cruz: Didn't He 'Smear' 'Regular New Yorkers'?
January 19th, 2016 2:50 PM
CNN's Alisyn Camerota pressed former New York Governor George Pataki on Tuesday's New Day over Ted Cruz's "New York values" attack on Donald Trump. Camerota noted how Pataki asserted that Cruz "was obviously referring to the liberal values of New York politicians," but wondered, "Wasn't he also talking about...regular New Yorkers?" When the Republican politician denied this was the case, the…
CNN's Begala Demonizes GOPers As Wanting to Jail Rape Victims
January 18th, 2016 10:25 AM
Appearing as a guest on Monday's New Day on CNN to discuss Sunday night's Democratic presidential debate, liberal CNN political commentator Paul Begala asserted that, in contrast to the Democratic debate, that the last GOP debate had been "hateful" in its battle between Ted Cruz and Donald Trump.
He went on to claim that Republicans argue about "who's going to be more extreme," adding, "if a…

Scarborough on Cruz: 'One Thing Being Outsider, Another Being Pariah'
January 18th, 2016 8:55 AM
"If you want a friend in Washington, get a dog." That's how Harry Truman downplayed the importance of friendships in politics. But at a certain point, do poor personal relations impede a president's ability to get things done?
On today's Morning Joe, after rolling a clip in which Donald Trump called Ted Cruz a disliked and "very nasty guy" who can't make deals, a discussion ensued as to whether…

Reid: Cruz Nomination Would Fail Since He Blew Up 'Home Team's Court'
January 17th, 2016 4:35 PM
Despite admitting on Sunday’s Meet the Press that she wasn’t a token expert on Republican politics, MSNBC national correspondent Joy Reid attempted to impart some wisdom to the GOP by ruling that Ted Cruz wouldn’t be successful as the party’s presidential nominee since “he’s spent his entire Senate career essentially blowing up his home team's court.”

Maher Demonizes Ryan & Satan-Dog 'Child' Cruz, Sucks Up to Al Gore
January 17th, 2016 2:29 PM
On Friday's Real Time with Bill Maher on HBO, Senator Ted Cruz and House Speaker Paul Ryan were the two Republican figures who were most on the receiving end of host Maher's vitriol as he derided Cruz as the "child of Satan and a dog," and asserted that both men have a "punchable face."
By contrast, when former Vice President Al Gore appeared as a guest to promote his environmental agenda, the…
NPR Anchor Asks Joy Reid If Christie, Cruz Were Racist to Insult Obama
January 16th, 2016 4:56 PM
NPR brought on two women to replace David Brooks and E.J. Dionne for their “Week in Politics” segment on Friday’s All Things Considered. As usual, NPR’s idea of “balance” is two experts who think Ted Cruz is a far-right disaster.
Former MSNBC host Joy Reid drew quite the softball from openly gay NPR anchor Ari Shapiro, who cited “some observers” who said that Chris Christie and Ted Cruz offered…

Harris-Perry Guest Falsely Accuses Republicans of Calling Obama 'Boy'
January 16th, 2016 12:42 PM
On today's Melissa Harris-Perry show, the perpetually outraged Nina Turner of Ohio ripped Ted Cruz and Chris Christie for their language during this past week's debate: "to call the president a boy, those of us who understand African-American history—cause that's exactly what they called him was a boy—and you don't do that to anybody, and especially to an African-American man."

Vox Writer: GOP Candidates ‘Living In a Fiction’ Regarding Jihadism
January 16th, 2016 12:07 PM
During the 1980s, a favorite talking point of liberals was that President Reagan tended to confuse movies with reality. In a Friday article, Zack Beauchamp accused a current Republican presidential candidate, Ted Cruz, of doing something similar, and alleged that the GOPers who took part in Thursday’s prime-time debate stand for a “view of the world [that] is as much a work of fiction as” Michael…

MSNBCer Mocks Ted Cruz's 'Duck Makeup'
January 16th, 2016 8:30 AM
As the media are beating their breasts about Ted Cruz's hit on Donald Trump for exhibiting "New York values" and hence proving he's an ill fit for Iowa Republicans, I noticed something the other night on MSNBC's The Last Word with Lawrence O'Donnell which seems to illustrate the New York-based liberal media's mockery and disdain for conservative rural America.
David Brooks on PBS: We Need a Squish 'Conspiracy' to Beat Trump, Cruz
January 15th, 2016 10:18 PM
After drawing wide condemnation for suggesting Ted Cruz offered “dark and satanic tones” last Friday, Brooks insisted this week that he still doesn’t like Cruz, but that he bested Donald Trump in the second Fox Business debate. Brooks said the GOP establishment is “in panic,” but seems immobile. Brooks is rooting for a moderate “conspiracy” of donors to pick one moderate. A squishy Republican “…
