Alongside the traditional mocking of Christians and Jesus Christ, of course. Merry Christmas, everyone!

We’re only one episode away from finishing the first season I Love You, America With Sarah Silverman, and the end can’t get here fast enough for me. Until then, we still must suffer through yet another idea Sarah Silverman deems meaningful or just politically advantageous. Hulu’s I Love You America with Sarah Silverman has been just one insult after another for conservative viewers. With the crass humor and not-so-subtle slams against President Trump, it’s hard to believe this was supposed to be a program about connecting people. In fact, this latest show might encourage more animosity between political sides.

After the fifth episode of Hulu’s I Love You, America with Sarah Silverman, I now have to accept that the humor must either be liberally biased or vulgar. Often both. She reached new heights of vulgarity last week (outside of gratuitous nudity, of course) and this week she doubled down on the anti-Trump rhetoric in “honor” of the one-year anniversary of the election.

Here I thought Hulu’s I Love You, America with Sarah Silverman was starting to wind down after its shocking premiere and dismal follow-up episodes. This recent week proves to me that I should never expect anything less than the awkward at best, outright dirty at worst “humor” that comes from Sarah Silverman.

Sarah Silverman’s I Love You, America series on Hulu sounds like one of the biggest oxymorons available for streaming right now. What really hypes up the irony is the idea of Sarah Silverman of all people trying to “bridge the divide” between people across the country. So does the show succeed? Well, it honestly depends how tolerant you are.

Sarah Silverman is trying to reinvent herself as nonpartisan and a great bridge builder. However, she is incapable of doing anything other than spewing vulgar trash.

No matter how wrong something sounds, if Hollywood decides to say it, it becomes celebrated.
