March 2nd, 2017 4:57 PM
The Associated Press made a series of weak and biased claims in its woefully inadequate "fact check" published after President Donald Trump's Tuesday evening speech to a joint session of Congress. One of the weakest, qualifying as a "Fake Fact Check," was its contention that Trump's statement that "the vast majority of individuals convicted for terrorism-related offenses since 9/11 came here from…

Rather Laments Press Doesn’t Have Power to Subpoena President Trump
March 2nd, 2017 12:53 PM
Thursday morning disgraced former CBS News anchor Dan Rather took to his Facebook page, as has become his newfound routine, to criticize Donald Trump and praise the press for doing a “great job” hounding the president. Rather, whose own unethical journalism cost him his career, seems to relish pretending he’s still a journalist and an untainted purveyor of truth.
NYT’s Thrush Gets Snide on Trump, as TV Critic Hits ‘Fearmongering'
March 2nd, 2017 12:10 PM
President Trump’s first address to a joint session of Congress was analyzed live by an assortment of NYT journalists. Glenn Thrush, a Politico alum now with the New York Times, stood out as more partisan than the other journalists, which is pretty tough. And Times politicized television critic Jamie Poniewozik saw dark, possibly violent anti-immigrant fear-mongering behind Trump’s positive tone.

CBS Whines: Trump Did Not Mention the Troops or NATO Allies in Address
March 1st, 2017 9:27 PM

March 1st, 2017 5:53 PM
Early Wednesday morning, CNN Tonight host Don Lemon descended into the gutter by suggesting that President Donald Trump had no role in writing his speech to Congress because it sounded as though it was “written by a college student for someone else trying to use big words” Trump wasn’t smart enough to understand. Of course, as some might remember, this is the same CNN program that the President…

NYT's Slippery Fact-Check of Trump's Speech Full of 'True, But' Claims
March 1st, 2017 11:52 AM
The New York Times’ inevitable “fact check” of President Trump’s first address to Congress at least dropped the phony three-color precision of the presidential debates, but still was lame and pedantic, with rushes to provide “context” and a plethora of “True, but...” formulations. A few examples follow of Trump's claims last nights, plus the paper's slanted verdict, both parts in italics. The…
