In a ruling handed down on July 15, a federal court issued a permanent injunction against the enforcement of the federal government's Obamacare contraception mandate against Tyndale House Publishers, Inc.
The same establishment press which gleefully and virtually instantly covered the July 14 setback suffered by the Little Sisters of the Poor in the 10th Circuit Court of Appeals, which ruled that the order "must allow employees to have contraception coverage," has from all appearances ignored the Tyndale ruling for six days.
Life News appears to have been the first outlet to report Tyndale's outright victory on July 16. Here are several paragraphs from Steven Ertelt's story:
Obama Admin Loses Battle to Force Bible Publisher to Obey HHS Mandate
In a huge victory for pro-life advocates taking on the controversial HHS mandate, the Obama administration has lost in its attempt to force a Bible publisher to obey it. The victory comes during the same week in which another court told a group of Catholic nuns they would have to obey the pro-abortion mandate.

The Obama administration opposed an order a judge gave temporarily stopping enforcement, arguing that Tyndale House Publishers isn’t religious enough for an exemption from the mandate, a component of ObamaCare that forces employers, regardless of their religious or moral convictions, to provide insurance coverage for abortion-inducing drugs, sterilization, and contraception under threat of heavy penalties.
Alliance Defending Freedom attorneys representing Tyndale House Publishers say the Obama administration has now ultimately lost its case against the Bible publishing company.
A federal district court issued a permanent injunction Wednesday in favor of Tyndale House Publishers and its owners, who are represented by Alliance Defending Freedom attorneys. The injunction means the government cannot enforce the mandate against Tyndale House.
... Tyndale House, based in Carol Stream, Ill., specifically objects to covering abortifacients. It is the world’s largest privately held Christian publisher of books, Bibles, and digital media and directs 96.5 percent of its profits to religious non-profit causes worldwide.
Unless the meanings of "permanent" and "cannot enforce" have recently changed, the headlines found elsewhere at other religious and center-right outlets declaring the injunction a "permanent victory" for Tyndale are correct. In fact, its permanent nature would arguably make the Tyndale win more significant that the Little Sisters' setback, given that they plan to appeal to the Supreme Court, and given that the Court's Hobby Lobby ruling would appear to give the Sisters a reasonable chance of reversing the 10th Circuit.
A Google News search on "Tyndale House" (in quotes, sorted by date, with dupliclates) done at 3:30 p.m. Eastern Time returned nine items. All of them, except one in the Washington Times, are from Catholic and prolife outlets. These outlets have apparently only learned of the ruling in the past day or two because of the from all appearances complete establishment press blackout.
How complete? Searches on "Tyndale" at the Associated Press's national site and at its Big Story site each return no results. The New York Times has nothing. Neither does the Washington Post, the Los Angeles Times, CBS News, NBC News, ABC News or Fox News.
Yeah, that's pretty complete. Why shouldn't we conclude that the press only cares about Obamacare contraception mandate wins and is determined to cover up the losses to make the administration's victory over freedom of conscience appear inevitable?
