ABC, CBS and NBC refused to cover this year’s March for Marriage – but we at the MRC have the footage they won’t show.
In the run up to Supreme Court arguments, The National Organization for Marriage (NOM) hosted its third annual March for Marriage in front of the Capitol on April 25. The event, a self-described “demonstration to the media, opinion leaders, legislators and jurists that a majority of Americans still stand for marriage as it has been traditionally and historically defined” drew 15,000 traditional marriage supporters.
Unlike the ABC, NBC and CBS, and Telemundo, Univsion published an extensive report on the event.
A marriage march press contact confirmed to MRC Culture through NOM that “approximately 15,000” marchers attended.
This year’s event, “the most critical march,” called upon the U.S. Supreme Court to “uphold the legitimacy of state laws and constitutional provisions defining marriage as the union of one man and one woman.”
