Why Is The Weather Channel Mocking Mitt Romney?

October 27th, 2014 12:57 PM

When one thinks about the media, the Weather Channel probably doesn’t come to mind as a primary source of liberal media bias. Strangely enough, on Monday the Weather Channel proved it can be just as bad as the liberals over on MSNBC.

Appearing on the morning AMHQ w/ Sam Champion program, self-described “hurricane/storm specialist” Carl Parker talked about his Halloween costume with host Sam Champion and joked “I think I’m going to be Big Bird. Try to irritate Mitt Romney.”

The liberal weatherman Sam Champion predictably burst out laughing at Parker’s costume idea and proclaimed “I love you. I love you. Yeah, no, I like that. I think it’s good.”

For those unaware, Parker’s Big Bird reference came from the 2012 presidential campaign when Mitt Romney said he wanted to end the federal government funding of PBS which airs the Sesame Street television program.

Champion’s over-the-top endorsement of Parker’s Big Bird costume should come as no surprise given that he was known for using his former Good Morning America platform as an opportunity to push his liberal global warming hysteria.

CARL PARKER: It’s going to feel like fall. Do you still have tour outfit picked out?

SAM CHAMPION: I haven't really worked on one yet. Although I think I know what I'm going to do as of the beginning of this show. But I still have to put it together.

PARKER: Okay. I think I’m going to be Big Bird. Try to irritate Mitt Romney.

CHAMPION: Carl Parker, I love you. I love you. Yeah, no, I like that. I think it’s good.

PARKER: Okay, cool.
