As NewsBusters has reported, CNN's Carol Costello is very defensive about ObamaCare.
On Wednesday, she took exception to a pre-Thanksgiving Day joke special correspondent Jeanne Moos made about Healthcare.gov being a turkey (video follows with transcribed highlights and commentary):
At the end of a light-hearted CNN Newsroom segment about the annual ritual of the President pardoning a turkey on Thanksgiving, Moos said, "The people will decide whether Popcorn or Caramel gets the glory this year. At least this government website is working. It's no turkey."
Costello heaved a bit of a sigh and said, "I don't know if that bolstered your argument, Jeanne, but hey, happy Thanksgiving."
Readers are reminded that earlier this month, Costello got into quite a heated argument about ObamaCare with Congresswoman Marsha Blackburn (R-Tenn.).
A few weeks earlier, she got so mad during a discussion about the Affordable Care Act that Congresswoman Renee Ellmers (R-N.C.) scolded, "You're getting awfully angry about this situation. I hate that you're in this position."
I guess it's not just Republicans forbidden to criticize ObamaCare in Costello's presence.
In the immortal words of Sergeant Hulka aka Warren Oates, "Lighten up, Francis!"
