NBC Sports' relationship with the nation's largest gun show is apparently over.
According to Variety, the network will not be a sponsor of January's Shooting Hunting and Outdoor Trade Show in Las Vegas.
“Our level of sponsorship has varied each year, and this January we will not be sponsoring the show because it does not make business sense for us at this time,” a representative for the network said.
NBC Sports has been reducing its sponsorship since Comcast purchased NBC in 2011.
For those unfamiliar with SHOT:
It is the largest and most comprehensive trade show for all professionals involved with the shooting sports, hunting and law enforcement industries.
It is the world’s premier exposition of combined firearms, ammunition, law enforcement, cutlery, outdoor apparel, optics, and related products and services. The SHOT Show attracts buyers from all 50 states and more than 100 countries. It is owned by the National Shooting Sports Foundation.
NSSF is the trade association for America's firearms industry.
