According to an AP story written by Beth Fouhy, Senator Hillary Clinton's wax likeness is set to be unveiled this Thursday at Madame Tussaud's wax museum:
.. complete with a campaign-style balloon drop, flags and a full-throated rendering of "Hail to the Chief."
The article goes on to inform us of the details:
The Clinton statue, crafted at the original Tussauds museum in London, will take its place in a wing dedicated to presidents and other public figures known as "the gallery." There, the likeness of the Democratic senator will join statues of Presidents Bush, Reagan, Kennedy, and her husband, Bill Clinton.
The new Clinton display will also feature an interactive kiosk, asking visitors to respond to questions including "Would you ever vote for a female president?" and "Will Hillary Clinton be the first female president?"
What's not mentioned in the article is that the accompanying picture seems to spell out what one would suspect the AP's answer to the question is. They would indeed vote for a female president and Hillary is their choice for 2008.
After all, not only is someone holding a sign in the background which clearly reads, "HILLARY 2008," it is so carefully lined up that it looks like the wax statue of a man next to Sen. Clinton's, is holding the sign in his extended right hand.
Now wait a minute. That waxy gentlemanly supporter of Hillary Clinton would not be President George W Bush, would it?
One has to wonder it the photographer pulled off this shot in just one take.
