Plenty of Kossacks blamed the right for creating the atmosphere that brought about last weekend's Sikh temple mass murder in Wisconsin. Moreover, one argued that the killings dovetailed with conservatives' belief that life itself is the enemy, and that their dream is for "Earth to be as sterile and silent as the Moon."

jusjtim35: Tea Party fear, anger drove the Sikh shootings
...Inside of 20 years all that will be left of the GOP is the hard core southern white Christian base - AKA The Tea Party and what a fearful party it is...
[Last] Sunday that fear and anger lashed out again when a white supremacist in Wisconsin did what he'd been primed to do. He grabbed his guns and he went off to kill him some Muslims. He knew where they were. They met every Sunday not to far away. He'd seen them in their turbans with their beards. They looked damned scary and the building they met in is actually a Mosque. He was sure that they were up to no good....
Troubadour: Conservatism, the politics of extinction
...Right-wing politics at its deepest roots is not merely indifferent to life, and not even merely hostile to life - it is Anti-Life: The pure, total inversion of life into a horrific mockery of itself that annihilates existence. They don't fetishize the past because they actually want to live in it - they want to turn back the clock because backwards time is the only way the universe could reflect their backwards morality...
No - they want nothing less than planet Earth to be as sterile and silent as the Moon: The only sure guarantee that their enemy Life could not simply move around the obstacles they present, as it has a tendency to do. They wish to cleanse the cosmos of the blasphemy of consciousness - that merciless inner eye that looks at them and sees what worthless pigs they are, desecrating their sacred hatred with the knowledge of what it really is: Nothing. A vacuum. They're meat puppets with nothing inside who want there to be nothing outside either.
Dante Atkins: Right-wingers aren't worried about chaos and anarchy
...[K]ey elements of the right wing have far less of a stake [than do liberals] in the preservation of society. The producers believe that their personal wealth and industrious nature will allow them to succeed no matter what. Many theocrats feel that the breakdown of society is in fact a necessary precursor to the second coming. And the gun nuts have been preparing for that exact eventuality regardless...
Jim Moss: Fox News, the Orwellian home...
One of the most haunting scenes in George Orwell's 1984 is the "Two-Minute Hate"...
The easy parallel to draw to 1984 is FoxNews, only it's not just two-minutes. It's 24 non-stop hours. I know people who watch FoxNews for a large portion of each day, and who watch in anger and bitterness.
Barack Obama plays the part of Emmanuel Goldstein, and the Democratic Party is the superstate that is responsible for all the evil in society...
jbou: ...for rabid racists
...FOX News doesn't call white supremacists "terrorists." They call them "viewers."
