Socialist Conference: Democrats ‘Must Be Destroyed,’ ‘Can’t Be Reasoned With’

September 8th, 2026 3:57 PM

“The Democrats cannot be reasoned with - they must be destroyed,” University of California Santa Barbara Professor Butch Ware told a Socialism conference in Chicago over the weekend.

Prof. Ware, a Muslim professor specializing in the history of Islam and Africa, addressed attendees at the conference on Marxism, a brand of Socialism, by telling attendees they have a “tremendous opportunity” – if they destroy Democrats before the Democrats destroy them.

Democrat politicians like Democratic Socialist New York City Mayor Zohran Mamdani and Socialist-supported Democrat Michigan Senate Candidate Abdul El-Sayed aren’t extreme enough – and are even holding the Socialist movement back, Prof. Ware said:

"We have a tremendous opportunity.

"But, they are going to keep giving us the Mamdanis and the Abdul El-Sayeds and, in my generation the Obamas, because they are there to contain radicalism. They are there to destroy it and to diffuse it and destroy it and to co-opt it and to purchase it.

“The Democrats cannot be reasoned with - they must be destroyed.”

“Gunfights” and “war in the streets” are coming, but tough-talking Democrats are only pretending they’re on-board with it, Prof. Ware said:

“Y’all aint dreamed big enough, yet.

"Some of these clickety-clack revolutionaries have never been in a f*cking gunfight. But, some of us that grew up in the Hood know what guns are like.

….

"You are ready for a war in the streets? No, you ain’t. Y'all ain't nowhere near ready for a war in the streets. You better get ready for both kinds of war. And if you stay ready, you ain't got to get ready."

While Democrats continue to embrace radical Socialists because they believe they can use them to win elections and then contain them, they’re just kidding themselves Constitutional Law Professor Jonathan Turley noted in his Tuesday column.

“It is another example of the delusion that establishment Democrats have that they will be able to use these radicals to destroy their political enemies but not themselves,” Prof. Turley explained:

“After one election victory, socialists chanted ‘You’re Next!’ when House Minority Leader Hakeem Jeffries’s image came on big-screen televisions.

“Hasan Piker has called for a purging of moderates from the Democratic Party.”

And William Lawrence, who let his Democratic Socialists of America (DSA) membership lapse and deleted hundreds of old social media posts in order to run as a Democrat for a Michigan House seat, even wrote a song calling on a Democrat senator to die, CNN Politics reported Friday:

“[D]eleted posts show Lawrence writing ‘f**k’ the nuclear-family home and calling it an ‘isolating, individualistic, violent way of organizing society,’ envisioning ‘a world of free and open migration,’ and calling to ‘Abolish the Senate.’

“Lawrence even wrote a song inspired by moderate Democratic Sen. Joe Manchin’s resistance to Democrats’ climate agenda: ‘Our generation says f**k you for everything,’ Lawrence wrote in lyrics he posted in December 2021. ‘Hurry up and die so that we can get started.’”
