House and Senate Republicans say they haven’t forgotten their pledge to ensure voter integrity by passing the Democrat-stalled SAVE America Act.
“We haven't forgotten the SAVE America Act,” former North Carolina Congressman Mark Meadows told Senate Republicans Monday in a X.com post.
“No we haven’t,” Rep. Tim Burchett (R-Tenn.) replied, reassuring Americans that they haven’t given up, despite Senate Democrats’ continued filibuster.
“We must never forget about the SAVE America Act Not for a moment Until it passes,” Senator Mike Lee (R-Utah) replied.
“If we pass the SAVE America Act, we will save America If we don’t, we will lose it,” Sen. Lee warned, posting video of President Donald Trump explaining the need to overcome Senate resistance to passing the voter ID act. Trump also cited “two reasons” that Republicans will dominate the midterm elections, if they pass the measure requiring voter ID:
“Number one: they won’t be able to cheat. And number two: the people are demanding it.”

“NOTHING happens in DC unless the American people force it,” Sen. Rick Scott (R-Fla.) replied to Meadows, calling on voters to demand their senators pass the bill:
“The Senate needs to hear your voices LOUD AND CLEAR about passing this bill. Call your Senator TODAY and demand that we pass the SAVE America Act.”
On Sunday, Rep. Nancy Mace (R-S.C.) also stressed the importance of passing the SAVE America Act, in a post noting its popularity with the American public:
“Over 80% of Americans support voter ID.
“95% of Republicans. 71% of Democrats.
“The AMERICAN people. This is a no-brainer.
“The Senate needs to pass the SAVE America Act and get it to the President's desk before midterms. The integrity of our democracy depends on it.”
Indeed, as CNSNews has reported, a Pew Research study of U.S. adults shows broad general, as well as minority, support for voter I.D. requirements:
- 82% of Latinos favor photo ID to vote.
- 76% of black Americans favor photo ID to vote.
- 85% of white people favor photo ID to vote.
- 83% of all U.S. adults favor photo ID to vote.
“Only American citizens should vote in American elections. Pass the Save America Act,” Rep. Mace followed up on Monday.
“We MUST pass the SAVE America Act. The future of our country depends on it,” Senator Tommy Tuberville (R-Ala.) posted Saturday – prompting Sen. Lee to agree – telling Republicans “We should act like” the country’s future is at stake:
“America’s future depends on passage of the SAVE America Act We should act like it—and get it done.”
