“We get that reporting might be tough since NPR was defunded after we exposed your woke CEO and biased ‘news’ at our hearing,” the House Oversight Committee responded Tuesday when National Public Radio’s Tom Dreisbach criticized a video promoting the committee’s latest report.
“One oddity of this GOP Oversight Committee video is that so little of it involves the actual testimony of former Biden aides,” the NPR correspondent wrote in a social media post commenting on a @GOPoversight video announcing release of the committee’s findings regarding its investigation of “the Biden Autopen Presidency.”
“There's a lot of Fox News sizzle reel stuff in here!” Dreisbach wrote, in an apparent effort to discredit the video.
Indeed, the video provides clips of Fox News Channel highlights of the scandal involving Joe Biden’s mental decline during his presidency and his administration’s insistence that Biden was in full possession of his faculties.
But, it also provides video of two of Biden’s senior advisers and the White House physician appearing at a House hearing – and refusing to testify by invoking the Fifth Amendment protecting them from self-incrimination.
And, while the video may not provide enough testimony by Biden aides to suit Dreisbach, “you’ll be glad to know that all 47 hours of deposition and transcribed interview footage are available on our website,” the Oversight Committee’s reply notes.
“Joe Biden WAS NOT running the show. Our new report EXPOSES how Biden's decline was real and his aides covered it up. Aides didn't even know WHO was operating the autopen to sign official documents and pardons. Watch the truth they tried to bury,” the committee declared in its initial post of the video, prompting Dreisbach’s critique.

Titled “The Biden Autopen Presidency: Decline, Delusion, and Deception in the White House,” the hundred-page report “exposes Biden’s decline, the White House cover-up, and invalid executive actions signed by autopen,” Committee Chairman Rep. James Comer (R-Ky.) said in a statement Tuesday:
“The Biden Autopen Presidency will go down as one of the biggest political scandals in U.S. history. As Americans saw President Biden’s decline with their own eyes, Biden’s inner circle sought to deceive the public, cover-up his decline, and took unauthorized executive actions with the autopen that are now invalid.”
As a result of the findings, Chairman Comer has asked U.S. Attorney General Pam Bondi to look into both the legitimacy of Biden’s executive actions and the aides who invoked the Fifth, the committee writes in a follow-up post:
“In light of our bombshell Biden Autopen Presidency report, Chairman Comer is calling on @AGPamBondi to conduct a review of ALL executive actions taken during the Biden presidency. He's also referring Dr. Kevin O'Connor, Annie Tomasini, and Anthony Bernal for further investigation after they took the Fifth during our deposition.”
