You might not be able to rely on your firefighters to save you from a burning building, but at least they look like you!

Having a queer female fire chief will apparently “give” you “a little bit more ease” as you watch California’s wildfires burn your family and pets alive.

Meet the people in charge of LA’s fire response.

All of them lesbians named Kristin.

Kristina Crowley - First LGBTQ Fire Chief LAFD.
Salary: $439,722

Kristina Kepner - First Lesbian Assistant Chief LAFD.
Salary: $264,468

That is what the Los Angeles Fire Department’s first black lesbian assistant chief insisted in an unearthed video advertising their DEI bureau, which reportedly pays her an annual $399k salary to lead.

“Is she strong enough to do this?” Asst. Chief Kristine Larson mimicked her doubters.

Of course she is! Just don’t expect her to carry your husband out of a fire. Her response to that request is “he got himself in the wrong place!”
