Oh, would you look at that. You can’t kill kids and get away with it every time like you might think!
Jessica Burgess, a Nebraska mother, was sentenced to two years in prison on Friday after she worked with her teenage daughter, Celeste, to kill her son through abortion. Mrs. Burgess bought her daughter pills, had her take them past the point of Nebraska’s legal limit, and screwed with the remains of the murdered baby.
I’d argue Burgess deserves a hell of a lot more than two years for the evil she displayed, but we'll take what we can get.
If you don’t know this story, back in 2022 when Celeste was 17-years-old and in her third-trimester of pregnancy, she killed her baby. Her mother ordered her an abortion pill from India and she delivered her 30-week-old child. To make things worse, the Burgesses burned the baby boy’s body and buried it in attempts to hide the remains. They then dug the remains up and re-buried them and THEN moved them a third time.
Supposedly, the family couldn't afford a funeral for the young boy so they decided to psychotically burn and bury and move the poor thing all over kingdom come.
What they did was illegal. In Nebraska at the time, after the 20 week mark in a pregnancy, women could not get abortions. The teen was much further along than that.
In July, Mrs. Burgess pleaded guilty to charges of “false reporting, providing an abortion after 20 weeks of gestation, and concealing, removing or abandoning a dead human body,” as The Guardian noted. Her daughter took a plea deal and was sentenced to 90 days back in July.
Though Mrs. Burgess was just sentenced by a Madison County District Court on Friday, pro-aborts on social media rallied for her.
One user insisted the mother was merely “helping her teen daughter.” Another said, “Mother's going to do what Mother's got to do. Good for her!” One added, “Absurdity. What parent wouldn’t help their kid? Republicans are crazy.”
Others were shocked that the mother was going to prison, “You have got to be kidding me,” one said while one more wrote “Outrageous. They should definitely appeal.”
A media outlet called “The Appeal,” tweeted out that Burgess won’t be the only one this type of thing is going to happen to going forward.
“As states across the country adopt harsher abortion laws, experts warn cases like Jessica Burgess’s will only become more common,” it wrote with a link to a piece that pumped a smorgasbord of pro-abort rhetoric.
It’s disgusting that even though justice is finally being served for this evil mother, people are still coming to bat for her and are still touting support for the most blatant rejection of a human’s rights: the right to life.
