In celebration of the first Mother’s Day since the overturn of Roe v. Wade,Time magazine decided to yet again push mothers' apparent “need” to abort their kids.
Yeah, this world is freaking sick.
“This Sunday will be the first Mother’s Day since the Supreme Court decided Dobbs v. Jackson Women’s Health Organization and struck down the constitutional right to abortion,” the Time author began.
It seems pretty twisted to promote murdering babies on the very day that women, the badasses who birth said children, are supposed to be celebrated. But, leave it to Time to do just that.
Time claimed that “most people who seek abortions are already mothers,” trying to insist that these mothers should still be celebrated not for their motherhood of their other kids, but for killing the ones that were in utero.
The author, avid pro-abortion activist Aubrey Hirsch, expressed her drive for concocting a piece like this:
One of the main reasons I treasure my own experience of motherhood so dearly is because I chose it for myself. But now this country will force pregnancy and birth on many people who do not want that experience, as well as many who do but face dangerous or unviable pregnancies they should have the option to terminate. This Mother’s Day, I’ll be thinking not only about myself, but about them as well.
Maybe don’t get pregnant if you don’t want to be pregnant. How’s that for a solution?
The piece also provided numerous graphics in support of abortion. One featured an image where women stood on one side of a wall, pounding on it, to get to the clinic on the other side of the wall, with a caption claiming that there were “more than 32,000 fewer abortions between July and December 2022.” Naturally, the designer framed that as a bad thing. Another graphic portrayed a woman with her hands full which was captioned, “Many of these people will have the physical toll, sacrifices, and demands of pregnancy, birth, and motherhood forced upon them.”
Other graphics insisted that motherhood “is a choice” and that “forced” pregnancies give mothers “less control of their futures.” Sure, motherhood is a choice, but that “choice” comes before a child is conceived, not after. That’s a perfect way to control your future. Problem solved!
At the end of the piece, one final graphic was displayed. It was a drawing of a card on top of a flower arrangement that said “Sorry your human rights were stripped away!” and at the bottom it said, “There’s no Mother’s Day card for that.”
It really is a shame that the pro-abort movement is using a beautiful day, Mother’s Day, to push for more baby deaths. That’s the least pro-woman, pro-mother, pro-caring about people message there could be.
