As NewsBusters first reported on Sunday morning, ABC’s This Week co-moderator Martha Raddatz suggested that Republican messaging on the border is what’s causing the massive influx of migrants pouring across the southern border. According to Raddatz, because Republicans are saying aloud the irrefutable fact that the border isn’t secured, they are to blame for the thousands of illegals flooding across the border, not Biden and the Democrats who refuse to secure the border.
In the over 24 hours since, Raddatz’s idiotic comments have gone viral and led to widespread mockery of the leftwing host. On Monday night, during his wildly successful primetime show Tucker Carlson Tonight, the eponymous host Tucker Carlson ripped into Raddatz and the media writ large for not taking the border crisis seriously.
“It's completely ignored by the media. Except when they are forced to respond and they tell you to shut up and stop complaining,” Carlson noted when discussing the ongoing immigration crisis in the United States.
Setting up the clip he was about to play for his viewers, Carlson mocked Raddatz: “on ABC News, someone called Martha Raddatz argued that actually it’s people who are against immigration who are to blame for the immigration crisis because they're talking about it and therefore advertising it to the rest of the world.”
He then played her buffoonishly dumb comment:
You talk about the border wall, you talk about open borders. I don't think I've ever heard President Biden say, we have an open border come on over, but people I have heard say it are you, are former President Trump, Ron DeSantis, that message reverberates in Mexico and beyond, so they do get the message that it is an open border and smugglers use all those kinds of statements.
When Carlson returned on screen his face looked both confused and disgusted at the same time.
He then said what many people want to happen in order to make the leftist elites in the media and government understand how bad the border crisis has become.
“You do fervently wish say 25,000 Haitians would move to Martha Raddatz’s neighborhood tonight. Maybe she’d give different coverage,” Carlson said.
Sadly this is what it will take to make Raddatz understand how dire the situation is at the border.

The country will never be what it was five years ago. Even if you are for this, you would acknowledge this is a big deal and it's completely ignored by the media except when they are forced to respond and they tell you to shut up and stop complaining.
