On Sunday’s This Week on ABC, chief anchor George Stephanopoulos reported on his network’s devastating new poll for President Joe Biden and the Democrats in the upcoming 2022 midterm elections. Despite the ABC/Washington Post poll showing just 36 percent of registered voters approving of his job performance, ABC contributor and former Democratic National Committee chairwoman Donna Brazile claimed “Joe Biden has really done a fabulous job.”
Kicking off the “Powerhouse Roundtable” segment, Stephanopoulos turned to former New Jersey Republican governor Chris Christie, who clarified how bad the polls are looking for congressional Democrats.
“President at 36 on his approval rating, 21 points underwater. That 74 percent of people in the poll said the economy is bad,” Christie noted. Adding that the poor economy is “the top issue to 84 percent of the people.”
Christie then recalled talking to a local farmer who told him that “since Biden got into office his diesel fuel costs are up 222 percent on his farm and his nitrogen costs are up 262 percent.”
“That's not only bad for them and their ability to make money, but it's going to hit us in supermarkets all over this country. This is hardly over,” Christie added.
Hoping there was some way to save Democrats from electoral doom in November, Stephanopoulos asked Donna Brazile: “Is there any argument the Democrats can make that will make inflation not the top issue on voters' mind as they go to the polls?”
Proving how delusional she is and that she will say anything no matter how absurd to help her Democrat Party, Brazile claimed:
Joe Biden has really done a fabulous job, I think, in making sure that every day Americans can feel the things that he's doing, whether it's lowering gas prices, making sure that our supply chain is now moving forward, he just stopped a rail strike which really would have crippled our economy.
Brazile continued to whistle past the graveyard claiming “we know we have a big job to do in motivating people to get out to vote. But most importantly, Joe Biden is playing the long game. That's why I’m still with Joe Biden, I'm ridin' with Biden, baby.”
Of course, there was no pushback from Stephanopoulos on her claim that “Joe Biden has really done a fabulous job.” Any rational person knows that a President whose reckless government spending sent inflation skyrocketing and the economy plummeting hasn’t done a fabulous job. Unfortunately, Stephanopoulos isn’t a rational person.

DONNA BRAZILE: I mean, look, Democrats understand that the stakes are high. This is a consequential midterm. And we know we have to defy history. That being said, look at the alternative. What are the Republicans planning to do to harm you, to harm the economy? Joe Biden has really done a fabulous job, I think, in making sure that every day Americans can feel the things that he's doing, whether it's lowering gas prices, making sure that our supply chain is now moving forward, he just stopped a rail strike which really would have crippled our economy.
