We're used to lefty athletes, coaches and celebrities popping off about politics. But it's worth noting when an unwoke person uses his or her platform.
Auburn University basketball coach Bruce Pearl on Thursday blew a gasket over the latest Democrat jihad on fossil fuels. The New York Post said he “executed a cannonball into the political pool” on Thursday after Rep. Rashida Tlaib (Dem-Mich.) criticized JP Morgan for not joining the Let’s war on gas and oil.
The congresswoman, who’s been pressuring all major bank CEOs to stop funding fossil fuels, asked JP Morgan CEO Jamie Dimon, “Does your bank have a policy against funding new oil and gas products?”
Dimon replied: “Absolutely not, and that would be the road to hell for America.”
Tlaib responded to that with a lame analogy:
“Sir, everyone that got relief from student loans [that] has a bank account with your bank should probably take out their account and close their account. The fact that you’re not even there to help relieve many of the folks that are in extreme debt because of student loan debt, and the fact that you’re out there criticizing it…”
That set off Pearl, who wasn’t buying the congresswoman’s nonsense. He tweeted:
“Like Gas Prices aren’t high enough? Is the Congresswoman from Michigan not at all concerned with how much it’s going to cost people to stay warm this winter? Let’s just let Russia and Iran take care of our fossil fuel needs?! A weaker USA is dangerous for the world!”
Cong. Pete Sessions (Rep-Texas) confirmed in the Fox News op-ed that the Biden administration and Democrats are targeting the future of the American oil and gas industry. Not to mention U.S. energy independence. The president canceled the Keystone XL Pipeline, and the radicals in California have set a 2035 deadline for the sale of gas-powered vehicles there.
Pearl won national coach of the year honors in 2006 and also captured a Division II national championship at Southern Indiana in 1995. Along with Dimon and Rep. Sessions, he understands the madness of Democrats intent on severely damaging the nation with unreasonable demands.
