Finally, at long last, Andrew Cuomo announced his resignation on Tuesday. As The Washington Examiner aptly put it, “Some 15,000 dead seniors and 11 harassment victims later, Andrew Cuomo finally resigns in disgrace as New York governor.” Members of the media will live in infamy for their cringe-y, embarrassing fawning over the Democrat. Daily Show host Trevor Noah is high on the list.
On March 31, 2020 he gushed over the New York Governor for “crushing it the most.” The so-called comedian fawned over Cuomo’s approval rating. But the most awkward moment, looking back now on the sexual abuse allegations, was this part: “People online are falling in love with him because of coronavirus and how he's handling it. I'm not going to lie. Those people include me. My Tinder profile now lists me as a Cuomosexual.”
Given that we now know CNN host Chris Cuomo was advising his brother on how to dismiss and demean the sexual abuse and harassment accusers, this line is also awful: “And the thing that I’ve been enjoying about Governor Cuomo is, in these dark times, he also provides us with some entertainment. It's not just facts and plans, it's entertainment. I wait for his interviews on CNN that he has with his brother.”
Noah added, “From now on, we should make it every single politician should be interviewed by siblings.”
Trevor, any thoughts on these comments now?
On October 15, 2020, The Daily Show host interviewed Andrew Cuomo and asked about his dating life:
TREVOR NOAH: On a personal level again, I just wanted to touch base with you as a human being. I last remember you being single, and now the weather is changing, which means it's going to be a lot harder to go out for a date because you can't be inside with strangers. Have you taken the time to just at least, you know, have a socially distant meal with anybody just in life? Did you take the time? I know you were very busy, so I just wonder as a person if you've taken the time to do that for yourself?
ANDREW CUOMO: Trevor, on a human level, on a social level, nobody wants to have dinner with me. I have no offers.
So cringe-inducing.
UPDATE: Noah is now trying to backtrack on Twitter. On Tuesday, The Daily Show's Twitter account tweeted, "New York has successfully flattened the perv."
This disgusting fawning was sponsored by Kia. Click on the link to let them know what you think.

TREVOR NOAH: And the one governor crushing it the most right now is Andrew Cuomo. Yes. Thanks to his handling of the coronavirus, his approval rating has soared to a seven-year high, and -- and this is crazy -- he's even becoming something of a Coronavirus crush for many people. Yeah. People online are falling in love with him because of coronavirus and how he's handling it. I'm not going to lie. Those people include me. My Tinder profile now lists me as a Cuomosexual. And the thing that I’ve been enjoying about Governor Cuomo is, in these dark times, he also provides us with some entertainment. It's not just facts and plans, it's entertainment. I wait for his interviews on CNN that he has with his brother because they always yield gems like this.

NOAH: From now on, we should make it every single politician should be interviewed by siblings ‘cause siblings don’t give a [bleep].
