Sure, moderates or apolitical people probably think, “What are conservatives on about? Dems and the far left aren’t being crazy. They aren’t trying to find ways to be totalitarian dictators of a budding communist United States. That’s poppycock.” But then they see a recent Politico report on the DNC wanting to work with cell phone carriers to stop fake news, and realize (hopefully) we might be onto something.
Of course, no need to panic … yet. But yes, on July 12 Politico did publish an article on Democrats’ ideas for preventing COVID misinformation from circulating in the public and ultimately killing grandma, and one of their potential ideas would cause George Orwell to spin in his grave.
According to the report, the Dems are going to work with major cell phone carriers to prevent the spread of fake news on vaccines and the China virus. The piece stated:
Biden allied groups, including the Democratic National Committee, are also planning to engage fact-checkers more aggressively and work with SMS carriers to dispel misinformation about vaccines that is sent over social media and text messages.
Uh, what?
Realize that “SMS carriers” means wireless text messaging providers, AKA cell phone carriers like AT&T and Verizon. So again, the Democratic National Committee, the official organization behind the Dems – who may we remind you, are in control of our government – is going to work with cell phone companies to prevent the spread of misinformation.
Of course the question is, how? By going through our texts? How else would an SMS carrier like Verizon stop COVID misinformation from going around? Well perhaps they’ll set up incentives for Dem-sympathizers to report receiving text messages with inaccurate medical information. Sure that’s less direct than AT&T threatening to cut off your data if you say that COVID is a conspiracy, but no one wants to live in Snitchville, USA.
And again, who is to say that the government is the sole authority on the nature of China Virus? They’ve gotten it wrong before. Only now is it cool to speak freely about it coming from a lab in Wuhan, but that’s only after Facebook – run by Dem allies – censored posts which alleged the same thing BEFORE the government wanted to admit it.
Sure, the DNC probably will use all manner of semantics and rhetorical obfuscation to argue that what they’re doing is safe and that we’re all paranoid. But still, when we asked people on the street, most, if not all, seemed highly uncomfortable with the premise of the DNC sniffing through their phones.
WATCH the video above to see people react to us telling them we’re with the DNC and need to look through their text messages.
