It’s not just American conservatives that the corrupt journalists at CBS This Morning try and slime as racist. British Conservative Boris Johnson is, apparently, responsible for the racist trolls on Twitter who spewed vile attacks at England’s soccer team after a heartbreaking loss in the European championship. That’s the implication from reporter Imtiaz Tyab, anyway.
After racist attacks on three British players over the weekend, Prime Minister Boris Johnson condemned the bigotry, telling those responsible to “crawl back under the rock from which you emerged.” Yet, that wasn’t enough for Tyab who on Tuesday, amidst all the support of the three men, sneered, “A heartfelt message of unity from multicultural Britain that critics accuse Prime Minister Boris Johnson of accused of trying to divide.”
What is the crime of the leader of the British Conservative Party? He didn’t endorse players kneeling before the games (Colin Kaepernick-style). Tyab complained, “At the start of the tournament, Johnson refused to condemn fans who booed England’s players for taking a knee as part of anti-racism protests, with a spokesman saying the prime minister was, quote, ‘more focused on action rather than gestures.’”
An outraged Tyab continued:
Almost immediately Johnson was accused of hypocrisy with England player Tyron Mings calling out a member of his cabinet, tweeting, “You don't get to stoke the fire at the beginning of the tournament by labeling our anti-racist message as ‘gesture politics’ and then pretend to be disgusted when the very thing we are campaigning against happens.”
CBS offered no one defending Johnson or expressing outrage at trying to connect opposition to kneeling during one’s national anthem to racism. Balance isn't a priority for the liberal hacks at the network.
ABC's Good Morning America on Tuesday neutrally covered the story with Lama Hasan stating, “Prime Minister Boris Johnson also outraged.” Unlike CBS, she did not try and connect Johnson to the racism. Over on CNN, however, journalist Darren Lewis trashed the Prime Minister as “racially offensive.”

ANTHONY MASON: Soccer fans in England are offering a wave of support for three players who missed penalty kicks in a sudden death shootout that decided the final match of the European soccer championship. Marcus Rashford, Jadon Sancho and Bukayo Saka were blasted with racist abuse online after the game. Police are tracking those abusive posts trying to find the people responsible. Others are pointing fingers at top officials accused of enabling the posts. Imtiaz Tyab has more from Wembley’s national stadium home of England's national team.
IMTIAZ TYAB: It was the moment England's Euro Cup dreams came crashing down. Now three young black players who missed their penalty shots, Bukayo Saka, Jadon Sancho and Marcus Rashford, find themselves the targets of online racism so vile London's Metropolitan Police are investigating. Garrett Southgate manages England’s team.
GARRETH SOUTHGATE: For some of them to be abused is unforgivable really. We, I think, have been a beacon of light in bringing people together.
TYAB: A heartfelt message of unity from multicultural Britain that critics accuse Prime Minister Boris Johnson of accused of trying to divide. At the start of the tournament, Johnson refused to condemn fans who booed England’s players for taking a knee as part of anti-racism protests, with a spokesman saying the prime minister was, quote, “more focused on action rather than gestures.” But after Sunday's final Johnson had this to say spewing racist hate online.
PRIME MINISTER BORIS JOHNSON: Shame on you. And I hope you will crawl back under the rock from which you emerged.
TYAB: Almost immediately Johnson was accused of hypocrisy with England player Tyron Mings calling out a member of his cabinet, tweeting, “You don't get to stoke the fire at the beginning of the tournament by labeling our anti-racist message as ‘gesture politics’ and then pretend to be disgusted when the very thing we are campaigning against happens.”
