Who gives a rip what the rest of the world thinks? Apparently, NBC Nightly News does; as chief foreign correspondent Richard Engel boasted Monday evening: “Much of the world is reacting to President Trump's defeat as if Americans toppled a dictator.” That’s something coming from a network that often sticks up for America’s enemies, actual dictators, and terrorist organizations.
“And around the world, leaders are welcoming Joe Biden's election and the prospect of reengaging with the United States,” cheered anchor Lester Holt in the lead-in. Meanwhile, Engel kicked off the video portion of his report with comments from a couple of nobodies in Italy and Egypt:
UNIDENTIFIED BRITISH JOURNALIST: Joe Biden has won --
RICHARD ENGEL: Much of the world is reacting to President Trump's defeat as if Americans toppled a dictator.
UNIDENTIFIED ITALIAN MAN: The world has to get rid of him.
UNIDENTIFIED EGYPTIAN MAN: He degraded America.
Engel noted that it was normal for world leaders to congratulate the winner of an American presidential election, but “what's not is the sense of relief that America first isolationism is over,” he touted. “The mayor of Paris tweeted, ‘welcome back, America.’”
The glee in Engel’s voice was noticeable when he described how some German paper once showed Trump beheading the Statue of Liberty and when talking about how President-Elect Biden was going to supposedly make things better:
When President Trump was elected a German magazine showed him decapitating the Statue of Liberty. In the new edition, President-Elect Biden is restoring it.
So what will actually change? Engagement is back. Biden says he'll refund the WHO, rejoin the Paris Climate Accord, recommit to NATO, and then revive the Iran deal.
Meanwhile, Europe was being gripped by a string of radical Islamist terrorist attacks which included actual beheadings.
“Who potentially loses,” Engel cheerful continued. “Israel is nervous. President Trump recognized Jerusalem as Israel's capital. Palestinians felt ignored and refused to deal with Washington. Now they hope Biden will re-engage. Also nervous, the U.K.'s Boris Johnson, a champion of leaving the European union who Biden called a Trump clone.”
With Engel describing President Trump’s apparent loss as the toppling of a dictator, it’s worth looking back at how NBC has glorified actual dictators and their repeated allying with America’s enemies.
When Cuban dictator Fidel Castro finally kicked the bucket after the 2016 election, NBC chief foreign affairs correspondent Andrea Mitchell glowed about him and reminisced about their past meetings. She also promoted propaganda from the Cuban intelligence service who claimed they helped the U.S. with cybersecurity.
The network also has turned itself into an infomercial for the Iranian regime and mourning the elimination of “iconic” Iranian terrorist Qasem Soleimani. They even defended their Iranian buddies from their attacks on the oil industry in the region.
As for their support for terrorist groups, NBC has long sided with the Palestinian-based Hamas organization. In 2014, they acted as the group’s public relations firm in the states and denied the terror group used human shields. And they often ignore when Hamas shoots rockets at Israeli civilians.
This is who they side with over America.
NBC’s anti-American stance was made possible because of lucrative sponsorships from Amazon and WeatherTech. Their contact information is linked so you can tell them about the anti-Americanism they’re supporting.

Russia has yet to congratulate President-Elect Biden, saying it's waiting for more official results. China silent, too. Does not expect the cold war with the U.S. to thaw under Biden. Lester?
HOLT: Richard Engel tonight. Thanks, Richard.
