The sleazy NFL potentially continues to slouch toward Gomorrah! Super Bowl halftime sleaze is legendary, but now an adult webcam site has offered $15 million to the New Orleans Saints in hopes of gaining the Super Dome stadium naming rights. SB Nation sports blog asks why an organization would want to get involved with an "embarrassing, scandal-plagued business" and it wasn't even referring to the XXX-rated Stripchat website, but to the Saints!
This sordid story just shows how low the NFL's reputation has sunk. In fact, SB Nation's Matthew Chambers writes the Saints and adult websites "are two peas in a pod." And the perverts at Stripchat have no problem with the Saints' dismal reputation, for as Chambers writes:
"Now you may wonder what such an organization would want to do with such an embarrassing, scandal-plagued business so full of disappointment and located in such an unclean location. Based on the press release, Stripchat is apparently fine with all of that, and the organization does not bring up the Saints’ cheating scandal, tainted Super Bowl, Michael Thomas’ latest meltdown, and whatever juvenile, embarrassing thing Sean Payton has done this year. Or the year before that. Or the year before that."
Chambers was wondering if Stripchat would include a sex joke in its news release on the offer to the Saints, and his suspicion was quickly confirmed by the low-life adult organization:
“We have been looking into penetrating the sports world and think this is a wonderful opportunity to do so by announcing a bid of up to $15,000,000 for the naming rights to the Superdome.”
The Saints' stadium is named Mercedes-Benz Superdome, but the agreement with that company expires in 2021. Mercedes-Benz has an agreement in place with the Atlanta Falcons after that.
"Now instead of leather and heavy European accents the Superdome can be associated with... probably leather and heavy European accents," Chambers writes.
An association between Stripchat and the New Orleans club would be saintly, a match made in heaven, an unnamed person with the porn site contends.:
"I’d like to think that we here at Stripchat embody some of New Orleans’ character and flair. As one of the world’s leading adult webcam sites that averages over 60 million visitors per month, we know a thing or two about having a good time."
Chambers endorses this potential agreement between football franchise and smut site by saying the two "go together like Drew Brees and multi-level marketing scams, Michael Thomas and underhanded passes, and Sean Payton and a consistent series of allegations of illegal activity, skirting rules and covering up the evidence, embarrassing dance moves, magician relatives, and complaining when his team doesn’t get a call."
SB Nation wishes both parties the best and looks forward to the Atlanta Falcons' 2020 visit to New Orleans for a game played in a stadium that could be named either the Stripchat Superdome, Dave’s Vape and Smoke Shop Superdome, the Huge Ass Beers Superdome, "or whatever other New Orleans establishment is willing to tarnish their brand by associating themselves with the Saints."
Yahoo! Sports reports that Saints owner Gale Benson is extremely religious and would not be amused by Stripchat's overture. The Superdome is owned by the state of Louisiana, but the Saints have the authority to cash in on stadium naming rights.
