For the liberal media, there's nothing like analogizing President Trump to a murderer. On his MSNBC show, Thursday, MTP Daily, Chuck Todd fretted that President Trump might be acquitted in a Senate impeachment trial, in the same way that O.J. Simpson was acquitted at his criminal trial.
Here was the handwringing Todd:
"I’m having a quick flashback to the O.J. trial, frankly, where the facts were damning, but it didn’t matter. And yet, he was innocent, but everybody knew he was guilty. Are we about to head into a situation like that where he’s going to get acquitted and yet everybody knew he's guilty?"
This wasn’t the only Simpson comparison on MSNBC. On November 13, Chris Matthews went there:
These hearings today are going to be much more like the O.J. trial, the great trial at the end of the 20th century, where people took sides very quickly. It wasn't so much about the facts, it's about your perspective, your history as a human being in this country.
Hey, for a liberal media that regularly compares President Trump to the genocidal Adolf Hitler, maybe MSNBC hosts figured they are letting the President off easy by comparing him to someone who was "only" accused of killing two people.
