Brian Williams Hypes GOPers Trashed by Liberal Relatives

On Monday's The 11th Hour on MSNBC, host Brian Williams devoted a couple of minutes to hyping the cases of two Republican publican figures who have recently been publicly excoriated by liberal family members.

After noting reports of families being "torn apart" by political disputes in recent years, Williams brought up Virginia Republican Congressman Bob Goodlatte coming under criticism by his son on Twitter. Williams recalled:

His own son is making it no secret that he's supporting the Democrat running for his dad's seat this November. Yesterday, Bobby Goodlatte announced on Twitter, quote, "I just gave the maximum allowed donation to Jennifer Lewis, a Democrat running for my father's congressional seat."

After noting that FBI agent Peter Strzok was recently fired, the MSNBC host and disgraced serial lair added:

Today, the son took another public shot at his dad, saying, quote, "I'm deeply embarrassed that Peter Strzok's career was ruined by my father's political grandstanding. That committee hearing was a low point for Congress."

Williams then moved to the case of White House advisor Stephen Miller being criticized by his uncle. Tagging him as an "immigration hardliner," Williams recounted that Miller "has been raked over the coals by his own uncle in a scathing op ed for Politico," and read from the article in which Peter Glosser called Miller an "immigration hypocrite."

The next afternoon on Andrea Mitchell Reports, the eponymous host devoted a five-minute segment to interviewing Glosser a few hours after he was a guest on CNN's New Day.
