It’s not enough that the media and entertainment industry give to abortion – they want other Americans to do the same.
Giving Tuesday, the Tuesday following Thanksgiving, encourages Americans to donate to charitable causes amidst shopping days like Black Friday and Cyber Monday. Women in the media, like Melissa Harris-Perry, and in the entertainment world, like Sarah Silverman, insisted that their Twitter followers make use of the day by supporting “reproductive rights” and abortion clinics.
To do so, they recommended donations to the Lady Parts Justice League (LPJL), run by comedian Lizz Winstead. The money would go towards LPJL’s “Vaginal Mystery Tour.” The “comedy bonanza” promises to join its “audience with local activists and Independent abortion providers recruiting hundreds of local volunteers who are looking out for the clinics.”
The tour also aims to fight President Trump and educate those “anti-abortion harassholes” who “make a scene and make people with uteruses feel shamed for being sexual beings.”
“LPJL will use our creativity, media savvy and wicked sense of humor to create direct public actions that counter the creepy ‘prayer-warrior’ gloom vigils and expose them to be the misogynistic white walkers that they are,” the website read of pro-lifers.
