Some people are living in ultimate liberal denial: there’s no way their beloved Hillary could be mixed up in a Russian scandal.
The news reported on by The Hill last week, that Russian nuclear officials sent millions of dollars to the Clinton Foundation during the Obama administration, has finally reached some outskirts of liberal Hollywood. Actress Patricia Arquette (Medium, CSI Cyber) tweeted on October 27 her belief that Clinton was in no way involved with Russia.
She stated, “Russia didn't help Clinton in election. They helped Trump which is why he still won't implement Russian sanctions. #uranium.”
Don't bother the actress with "fake news" CNN reporting back in August: "Trump signs bill approving new sanctions against Russia."
In a previous tweet, Arquette questioned why “Trump wasn’t reinforcing Russian sanctions?”
Arquette has been a fan of the Trump/Russia conspiracy theory for over a year. When an terrorist attacked London in March, Arquette tweeted that it was possible that the terror attack was a set up to distract from the “Trump/Russia disaster.”
This is a reiteration of the media’s angle on the Russian/Clinton scandal, best exemplified by MSNBC’s calling it “nonsense.” On October 17, the Hill reported the FBI released “an eyewitness account — backed by documents — indicating Russian nuclear officials had routed millions of dollars to the U.S. designed to benefit former President Bill Clinton’s charitable foundation during the time Secretary of State Hillary Clinton served on a government body that provided a favorable decision to Moscow, sources told The Hill.”
However, immediately after this information was released, the media refused to report on it at all, even after President Trump tweeted about it. Eventually, when Brian Williams on MSNBC and CNN reported on it, they dismissed it as a conservative excuse to “criticize Hillary Clinton.”
