As major media organizations actively advance the normalization and celebration of the LGBTQ agenda, NBCNews.com’s pro-LGBTQ propaganda arm “NBC OUT” recently published a list of LGBTQ book recommendations.
The July 14 piece titled “15 Recently Released LGBTQ Books for Your Summer Reading List,” contained both fiction and non-fiction reading suggestions. The lead paragraph explained: “From light beach reads to educational nonfiction, here are summer reading recommendations from NBC Out’s contributors and social followers.”
NBC OUT credited “@gayjamesbond” for suggesting Austin Chant’s fictional book Peter Darling. The brief description stated: “Wendy Darling, once known as Peter Pan, returns to Neverland after realizing he can no longer resist identifying as male, and upon arrival finds himself attracted to his enemy, Captain Hook.”
NBC OUT Associate Producer John Paul Brammer recommended Garrard Conley’s nonfiction book titled, Boy Erased: A Memoir of Identity, Faith and Family. The description said: “The gay son of a Baptist minister, Conley recounted his experience enrolling in conversion therapy and coming to terms with his identity. A film-adaptation is set to be released in 2018.”
Brammer’s Twitter profile describes him as the following: “Chicano Gay Person. Insurgente. Powerful Witch. Writer everywhere. Associate Producer at @NBCOUT.”
NBC OUT’s Managing Editor Brooke Sopelsa recommended Lillian Faderman’s The Gay Revolution. Listed as non-fiction, the description stated: “Lillian Faderman curates an archive of the LGBTQ community’s struggle for equality in the U.S. from the 1950's to the 21st century.”
