For someone who's supposedly anti-bullying, Dan Savage sure likes to bully conservatives and Christians a lot. In his latest “Savage Love” podcast, the liberal gay activist went on a tirade against First Lady Melania Trump, calling her “ugly on the inside,” and a host of other names, according to TheWrap.
Savage began his show by telling his listeners how much he hates the first lady.
SAVAGE: God knows there’s enough hate in the world and I don’t want to add to the sum total, but forgive me, I have got to get this off my chest: I fucking hate Melania Trump
Savage went on to claim that he “wasn’t alone” in hating Melania; “she’s married to a misogynist after all,” he added. “Odds are good her husband hates her too,” he quipped.
He then laid out a laundry list of accusations against the first lady, including being a “birther,” a plagiarist, an anti-immigrant, and for bringing “ruinous lawsuits” against journalists “Melania Trump, is as ugly on the inside as she is pretty on the outside,” he said.
Savage ended his rant by wondering if there was a way to “impeach” the first lady.
“I don’t know if you can impeach a first lady or how that would work,” Savage began, before complaining that if Michelle Obama acted the same way that Melania has, the right would’ve been calling for Obama to be impeached.
Savage has a history of publically attacking conservatives and Christians in particularly lewd ways. Besides the infamous Rick Santorum incident, he has told Ben Carson to “suck my dick,” in 2015 and accused Pope John Paul II of being a child molester. After Supreme Court Justice Antonin Scalia died, Savage actually said he was “Dedicating the rest of this weekend's marital sodomy to the memory of Antonin Scalia.”
In another instance, Savage bullied Christian teenagers who walked out of a Bible-bashing talk he was giving at a public school.
Yet despite his vulgarity, he is celebrated by the mainstream media. Savage has been a guest on cable news and his life was the inspiration for the anti-Catholic ABC comedy, The Real O’Neals.
The Washington Post has even promoted Savage’s porn “festival” as a top tourist destination in Washington.
