Celebs weren't the only ones getting political through Oscars evening -- journalists and liberal organizations did too.
Early in the evening, few people had directly trolled Trump.
But later, host Jimmy Kimmel fixed that. Since President Trump had not written any Oscars related social media posts by 10:50 pm, Kimmel tweeted at him: "Hey @realDonaldTrump u up?" Later, others got in various digs against the President.
Several also weighed in on Iranian director Asghar Farhadi, who chose not to attend the Oscars in protest of President Trump's travel ban.
Throughout the evening, various progressive organizations expressed their alignment with the content of liberal acceptance speeches and advertisements.
