In an exclusive interview with TownHall's Cortney O’Brien, country singer Justin Moore stated that trying to speak to gun control advocates is a “misguided” attempt to “to rationalize with irrational people.”
Moore said in his view, gun control is a “cop out” by politicians who would rather blame the gun rather than the criminal. He told O’Brien:
“Mental health is the real problem. If it wasn’t guns, it would be knives, etc. To blame it on the tool being used, in my opinion, is ignorant. They want to put a Band-Aid over a gaping wound in my opinion. You’re trying to rationalize with irrational people. It’s impossible. The problem isn’t the NRA, we’re not the ones out there doing extreme things.”
If anyone has any doubts on Moore’s stance on the Second Amendment, all one has to do is take a look at the lyrics of his new song “Guns”:

Moore was in Fairfax, Virginia last week for a concert but made sure to make a pit-stop at the NRA’s national headquarters. He began his concert by telling the crowd, “I was at the NRA museum today. And if you don’t like that you can get the hell out – respectfully.”
I’m sure the audience was in agreement with the country music star.
