Well, Hollywood’s back! Back to doing political PSAs, that is.
In a Funny or Die clip reminiscent of those ad nauseum voting videos (or rather, Hillary Clinton ads), a posse of progressive entertainers lampooned Donald Trump. The actors, including Susan Sarandon and Amber Heard, solemnly claimed that the president owns an ‘alternative’ constitution. There are only two copies of this document, they said, one held by Trump and the other by a pig-like deity in a deep cave.
“Of course Trump felt justified banning green card holders!” one star declared. “His constitution says: ‘They with cards of green should be kept away by any means by wall, by force, or with magic beans.’”
The actors also noted that Trump sees a different Statue of Liberty. Following the words about poor and huddled masses which are actually inscribed on the statue, the group added: “So that we may lock them in tiny rooms for days only to send them back where we think they came from. Fear outsiders.”
“He really has been living in a world a little off from ours,” one observed, making by far the most perceptive statement in the video.
“Help us help Trump by giving him the real copies of the Constitution,” they concluded.
Wait, Hollywood… that Constitution written by old, rich, white men? You actually want that?
