This week, Alan Colmes proved, yet again, that Fox News has its own liberals willing to say crazy things. The host asserted that right-wingers should have embraced the visit by Iranian President Mahmoud Ahmadinejad because the dictator is a "conservative" like them.
Speaking of angry liberals, MSNBC’s Keith Olbermann has claimed that the reason that "white wing" Republican presidential candidates are skipping minority debates is because they want to re-segregate America. Of course, given the host’s insensitive comments during a football broadcast, perhaps he shouldn’t be throwing stones.
Keith Olbermann isn’t the only MSNBC host who has attempted to smear conservatives as racist. Anchor Contessa Brewer moderated a segment on Bill O’Reilly’s comments about a black restaurant. While the attacks on O’Reilly are clearly a smear, MSNBC featured a graphic that definitively labeled the FNC anchor a bigot: It read, "Anchor’s Racist Comments" and there was no question mark to add any sort of skepticism.
On the celebrity front, "Nightline" spent a full half hour fawning over the Bush-bashing rapper, Kanye West. According to ABC’s Terry Moran, his infamous outburst turned the "thoughtful" pop star into a "cultural force to be reckoned with." Finally, comedian Janeane Garofalo has clearly drank the Move On Kool Aide. She asserted that General Petraeus is "dishonest" and is "betraying" the United States.
