In the wake of lewd comments Donald Trump made being released on tape, celebrities and reporters have been quick to exemplify liberal hypocrisy and attack his wife, Melania Trump.
At her Tidal X 1015 concert on October 15, rapper Nicki Minaj eloquently praised first ladies Michelle Obama and Hillary Clinton while attacking the presidential candidate’s wife: “…’cause Barack needed a Michelle, bitch, and Bill needed a motherfucking Hillary, bitch. You better pray to God you don’t get stuck with a motherfucking Melania.”
Minaj referenced a potential first lady Melania, (to which The Huffington Post commented, “oh, my god, please no,”) asking, “You niggas want brainless bitches to stroke your motherfucking ego?”
After being called out for “dragging” Trump’s wife, Minaj exposed the double standard of modern feminism, tweeting, “Wasn’t ‘dragging’. She seems nice. But a smart man knows he needs a certain ‘kind’ of woman when running for President/attempting greatness.” Rearing modern feminism’s ugly head, the feminist who began the “orgasm equality” movement unsurprisingly attacked a woman who doesn’t comply with the correct feminist narrative.
On Trevor Noah’s The Daily Show, Noah also took a jab at Melania. He criticized her October 17 interview with CNN’s Anderson Cooper, pointing out similarities between her interview with Cooper and her October 18 interview with Fox & Friends’ Ainsley Earhardt. He mentioned that the reason Melania waited so long before an interview is because “she was using that time to practice her lines.” “At least she’s only plagiarizing herself now,” Noah joked, “So that’s progress.”
Noah also showed a fake interview between The Daily Show’s Desi Lydic and Melania, where Lydic offered to help her escape, asking, “Don’t you want to be free?” When the two finally escape in a fictionalized re-enactment, Melania rappelled down the side of the apartment yelling, “I’m free! I’m free!”
LGBTQ Nation’s Randy Rainbow spoofed the same interview with Cooper. He held a fake interview where he interchanged selected clips from Melania’s original interview interspersed with his own demeaning questions.
He began the interview by introducing Melania as “a woman whose initials, when spoken aloud, describe not only her mind, but also her body and soul.” Her initials (MT) are pronounced “em-tee” (empty), as cleverly pointed out by the host attempting to make the argument that the Slovenian who can speak five languages has an empty mind.
Rainbow first asked, “In your own words, what makes your husband qualified for the job?” Here, Rainbow inserted one of Melania’s statement from the original interview, “Because he did so many stuff in his life.” After the camera cut back to Rainbow, back to Melania smiling, and back to Rainbow, he declared, “Well, I’m sold.” To ridicule her accent, the words “He did so many stuff in his life” appeared on the bottom of the screen.
Throughout the interview, Rainbow continued to mock her intelligence. He asked if she knew what the words misogyny, xenophobia, authoritarianism or predatory meant. Unpredictably, Rainbow cut to Melania responding, “no.” Additionally, in response to Melania mentioning that the media “Accuse me of doing stuff that I never did in my life,” Rainbow responded, “Like what, reading? Working? Properly conjugating a verb,” while cutting to Melania repeatedly replying, “no.”
With no end in sight for the cruel Melania mocking, Rainbow mentioned Michelle Obama, reminding Melania, who “you yourself have so eloquently plagiarized.” Rainbow tries to make Melania look empty-minded by having her respond smiling, “Thank you.”
When Melania described herself as “a rock for whole family,” Rainbow mocked her imperfect English again, joking, “I was going to say you remind me of a rock” before flashing the words on the screen, “Melania Trump is a rock.”
Hopefully someone will call out Rainbow for making Melania out as an unintelligent, female foreigner who can’t speak English properly, something the news would be covering for weeks if done by Donald Trump. But that’s the hypocrisy of the left.
