Sometimes, the jokes and stories write themselves, folks. On Monday morning’s MSNBC Live, host Stephanie Ruhle turned to none other than fake news anchor Dan Rather to decry President Trump’s tweet calling for a “FAKE NEWS TROPHY” and smugly defend the news media as the one “red beating heart of freedom and democracy.”

To mark the anniversary of the assassination of President John F. Kennedy on Wednesday, MSNBC’s radical Joy Reid put out a series of tweets fawning over how “the Kennedys occupy a special place in our national consciousness.” According to her, those “mythical” stories about the Kennedys were part of what held the country together and elevated us.

On Thursday night, the internet briefly descended into chaos as President Donald Trump’s personal Twitter account had disappeared and was nowhere to be found until it was restored 11 minutes later. The account reappeared without explanation until Twitter’s official electoral and government relations account provided a bizarre explanation that it was “due to human error by a Twitter employee.”

On Wednesday, I criticized Helen Gao at the New York Times for praising the "emancipation of women" in China under communist tyrant Mao Ze Dong.
