Only hours after the midterm elections, on Wednesday morning, NBC’s Today show was already looking to the 2020 presidential campaign, eager to discuss which Democrats were “getting serious about taking on President Trump.” In addition to some of the usual names, the report also touted Democrats who went down to defeat on Tuesday as “future stars” of the party.

With Democrats winning control of the House of Representatives during Tuesday’s midterm elections, on Wednesday morning, NBC’s Today show was giddy over the prospect of liberal lawmakers using their “newfound political power” to “flex their muscles” and launch a series of investigations into the Trump administration.

Is it any wonder half the country doesn’t bother with late night “comedy” shows anymore? On CBS’s Election Night Late Show, Stephen Colbert and his guests smeared Republicans as racist three times and compared GOPers to the KKK. On NBC’s Late Night, liberal host Seth Meyers brought on comedian Billy Eichner to bash bigoted Texans. 

Despite the eventual projections that Democrats would retake the House of Representatives on Tuesday night, NBC News was still uneasy, admitting that “Donald Trump and his followers are still intact” and “there is not a blue tsunami” that could be because of the unpopularity of Nancy Pelosi and Chuck Schumer.

Within moments of the broadcast networks coming on the air Tuesday night with their midterm coverage, ABC, CBS, and NBC had the long knives out for Republicans, condemning their “nativist,” “white-hot rhetoric” creating “one of the most divisive midterms in our lifetime” that was marred by “hate, violence and tragedy.”

As the first polls began the close, liberal broadcast networks ABC and NBC were touting how confident the Democrats appeared despite lingering worries from 2016. As they were nearing the end of their political coverage for World News Tonight, ABC anchor David Muir noted: “the Democrats are projecting confidence as well, as you might expect.”

As voters head to the polls this Election Day, one thing on many of their minds is the U.S. economy. They just haven’t seen much of it on the network news. The liberal media know the economy is one of the top issues for voters, yet broadcast network evening shows provided scant coverage of it the week before the elections in spite of an 18-year-high for consumer confidence and a 250,000 jobs…

During the 9:00 a.m. ET hour of NBC’s Today show on Thursday, correspondent Stephanie Gosk teed up a fawning interview she conducted with five Latina celebrities campaigning for Democrats and urging liberal voters to head to polls during Tuesday’s midterm elections. The reporter hailed the effort by the Hollywood “powerhouses” as they blasted President Trump.

When a conservative outlet or personality says something offensive, the media will rush to report the incident (often divorced from context or slyly edited.) Another conservative outrage against decency. When a liberal does it, you don’t often hear about the episode until there’s a “conservative backlash” to report.

The three networks in September deluged viewers with incessant coverage of unproven sexual abuse accusations against then-Supreme Court nominee Brett Kavanaugh. But when some of those claims fell apart, ABC and NBC went silent on the crumbling assertions. As reported in the USA Today, Friday, Judiciary Committee Chairman Chuck Grassley referred Judy Munro-Leighton to the FBI to be investigated…

On NBC’s Today show on Monday, Saturday Night Live’s Kenan Thompson acknowledged that fellow cast member Pete Davidson “definitely missed the mark” when he mocked Republican congressional candidate Dan Crenshaw’s appearance, a former Navy S.E.A.L. who lost his eye during combat in Afghanistan.

Since the Vietnam War, liberals have been known for their great disdain for America’s service members, despite their efforts to hide it.
