On Monday afternoon after the White House press briefing, the Briefing Room became the site of a contentious and, at times, heated debate about who gets to ask questions and how many as, thanks to longstanding power bestowed on the AP reporter slot, the Q&A portion of the briefing only lasted about 39 minutes.

The CBS series The Equalizer became a hit last year by keeping its focus on entertaining an audience. This year, it is determined to abandon that successful strategy in order to hector its viewers with left-wing ideology instead.

Well, now they tell you. The network morning shows on Monday all admitted that ramping up oil production in the wake of the war in Ukraine will “take some time.” There was no mention of the Biden administration’s war on energy independence. And NBC’s Today mentioned buying an electric car instead to save money on gas.

Oh, so NOW they care about abortion? This week, there were several big examples of Democratic extremism on abortion. Yet, the networks all ignored them. But on Friday, CBS and NBC both covered Florida passing a 15 week ban on abortion, fretting about it being too severe. 

After NBC’s Today skipped on Friday morning the frightening news that Russia had criminalized reporting basic facts about their war on Ukraine, NBC Nightly News gave the story 55 seconds of muted coverage hours later, possibly due to the fact that they were still reporting from Moscow as other western networks ceased reporting there and not risk prison sentences of up to 15…

Early Friday, Russian dictator Vladimir Putin’s stooges in parliament (known as the Duma) passed a law criminalizing accurate reporting about Russia’s invasion of Ukraine with a possible sentence of 15 years in jail. When it came to this actual and genuine attack on free, independent journalism, NBC’s Today omitted it from their Friday morning show.

Joe Biden, the Democratic Party and the left’s radical support for abortion grows more extreme every day. That fact was made very clear this week, though you wouldn’t have known it if you got all your news from the networks. 

On Thursday, RedState’s Alex Parker reported: “We are no longer a serious society. On Wednesday, CBS Evening News and NBC Nightly News both took issue with Florida Governor Ron DeSantis letting a group of High School students know that it is ok for them to take their masks off while they were standing behind him during a public event at the University of Florida. 

While MSNBC was decrying President Biden for not mentioning January 6 in his State of the Union address Tuesday night, CBS’s post-speech coverage featured something of a debate over whether or not Biden should have or needed to mention the Capitol Riot at all. Reacting Wednesday to President Biden’s State of the Union address from the night prior, the broadcast network mornings newscasts on ABC, CBS, and NBC largely decided to play White House stenographers in touting Biden’s “call[s] for unity” and focus “on common ground and not...partisanship.” It resulted, one network said, in cheers that were akin to American unity after 9/11.
