On Tuesday, all three network morning shows were thrilled with Democratic Party talking points preemptively dismissing President Trump’s upcoming immigration speech as nothing but “malice and misinformation.” Reporters touted how liberal lawmakers were “demanding equal time” in the media to response to Trump’s prime-time address. 

On Tuesday’s Good Morning America, the network’s White House correspondent Jonathan Karl sat down with Vice President Mike Pence to grill him about President Trump not backing down on the border wall, laying blame for the government shutdown exclusively on him. Despite Democrats being unwilling to budge on the need for border security, the ABC reporter seethed to Pence that it was Trump’s fault…

The December jobs report showing 312,000 jobs added was a “boom,” a “surge,” and a huge “surprise.” While all three networks noticed the big economic story on Jan. 4, ABC World News Tonight with David Muir didn’t bother to spend much time telling people about it.

On Monday, the network morning shows all decried the possibility of President Trump declaring a national emergency to secure the southern border in the midst of the government shutdown. However, as fearful as anchors and correspondents were of such a move, they seemed to forget that one of their colleagues actually suggested the idea during a White House press conference on Friday.

During Thursday’s edition of The View, the panel reacted to a clip of Wednesday’s Tucker Carlson Tonight, where the eponymous host pointed to studies showing that “when men make less money than women, women generally don’t want to marry them.” As a whole, the panel seemed dismissive of his argument, saying his arguments came from “loony town” and seamed “real nutty.”

Much has been made in the media of the diversity in the new Congress, particularly of the two female Muslim Democrats sworn in Thursday. While ABC found time to praise Michigan Rep. Rashida Tlaib’s swearing in on Thursday’s Good Morning America, the next day the network was reluctant to report on her vulgar tirade against President Trump.

With California Democrat Nancy Pelosi taking up the speaker’s gavel on Thursday, the liberal media was energized and excited to see how she would take down President Trump. During their evening news programming, the broadcast networks (ABC, CBS, and NBC) gushed about the day’s ceremony on the floor of the House and boasted about how “historic” it was.

ABC and CBS carried Special Reports Thursday afternoon as Democrats took control in the House of Representatives and neither could contain their excitement for what they were “feel[ing] here in the halls” as “a new era” began, causing “an earthquake in Trump world” and supposedly putting the Senate and White House on the defensive due to the midterm national popular vote.

Broadcast news networks have vocally opposed the President’s border wall since he first discussed the idea during the 2016 election. While the proposed wall has returned to the spotlight thanks to the ongoing government shutdown, the media’s hostility towards it is nothing new. 

Democrats take control of the House of Representatives today, but you don’t hear journalists instructing them to “show that they can govern” by finding ways to “compromise” with President Trump, as you do when Republicans are poised to gain power. “Opposing the President is not a policy,” NBC’s Matt Lauer lectured New Jersey Governor Chris Christie on the November 5, 2014 Today.

With the partial government shutdown in its 12th day Wednesday, President Trump invited Democratic leaders to the White House to negotiate on the budget. As would be expected the liberal media sided with the Democrats. On Wednesday, all three network morning shows rang in the New Year by touting Democrats trying to “bring order to the chaos of Trump’s Washington” and using the government shutdown to bash Republicans. In addition, the broadcasts hyped the impact of the budget impasse by claiming that America’s national parks were being overwhelmed by “mounds of trash.”
