Bozell Mocks Media Hyping Hillary Performance, Not Substance of Lying

On Friday morning, Fox Business anchor Stuart Varney brought on MRC president Brent Bozell to discuss the overnight TV coverage of the big Benghazi hearing with Hillary Clinton. Bozell said just ABC barely mentioned "Jim Jordan had uncovered the e-mail that shows unequivocally that Hillary Clinton lied to the American people! And she’s been lying about her denial about the video!"

MSNBC Touts 'Live' Interview with Hillary - That Wasn't, Uh, Live

Liberals often proclaim their devotion to "free" health care and "free" college, thereby demonstrating their flimsy grasp of the word "free." The word "illegal" is also a challenge for them as shown by their unwillingness to utter the dreaded term "illegal immigrant."

Salon Writer: GOP Has Made MSM a ‘Tacit Ally’ of Righty Extremism

As most NewsBusters readers know, conservatives argue that reporters tend to be liberal, and that their liberalism influences their reporting. A common lefty counterpart, which Paul Rosenberg expressed in a Saturday article, isn’t that most journalists are conservative, but rather that Republicans have manipulated them into ignoring (and thereby facilitating) right-wing extremism. “For quite…

Kirsten Powers Attacks GOP’s ‘Pathetic’ Handling of Benghazi Hearing

During an appearance on Sunday’s MediaBuzz, liberal Fox News contributor Kirsten Powers attacked the Republicans for their handling of Hillary Clinton’s testimony before the House Benghazi committee. After the Powers touted several conservative commentators who thought that Clinton’s testimony didn’t reveal any new information about the 2012 terrorist attack she argued that “the obsession with…

What Had to Be Ignored For Media to Cry 'Triumph' for Hillary?

In case you didn't get enough of the Hillary-boosting after the "marathon" Thursday Benghazi committee hearing, other conservative media experts have rounded up their own samples of liberal-media wagon-circling. There's "something rotten" in the Washington media, agreed James Taranto at The Wall Street Journal and Noah Rothman at Commentary.

CBS’s Dickerson Desperately Tries to Defend ‘Black Lives Matter’

During an interview with New Jersey Governor Chris Christie, Face the Nation moderator John Dickerson rushed to defend the Black Lives Matter movement after the Republican presidential candidate criticized the group for calling for the murder of police officers. After Christie said Black Lives Matter should not be “justified” over their anti-police rhetoric, the CBS anchor tried to defend the…

AP Hides Hillary's Smoking-Gun Benghazi Admission to Chelsea

Those folks at the Associated Press sure are "clever." Those looking for information about Hillary Clinton's damning email to her daughter Chelsea indicating that Mrs. Clinton knew that a planned operation by Al Qaeda — and not an Internet video — was behind the Benghazi attacks which killed Ambassador Christopher Stevens and three others trying to save him will find nothing at all at the AP's…

Chuck Todd to Gowdy: Why Did GOP Go Down Blumenthal ‘Rabbit Hole?’

On Sunday’s Meet the Press, moderator Chuck Todd hit House Benghazi committee chairman Trey Gowdy over his questioning of Hillary Clinton last week, specifically over the subject of Sidney Blumenthal. The NBC News Political Director asked Gowdy “[y]ou had made a promise that you were keeping the focus on Benghazi. Do you feel as if you did as much or -- even some Republicans were wondering why you…

Dick Van Dyke Lauds Sanders, Complains People Call Him 'Socialist'

Appearing as a guest on Friday's Tavis Smiley show on PBS, actor Dick Van Dyke spoke of his support for presidential candidate Bernie Sanders, and oddly complained that it is "incendiary" for his critics to call him a "socialist," even though Sanders labels himself a "democratic socialist." Van Dyke then declared that "we're a fairly socialist government already." The veteran actor, who is…

Sharpton Shuts Down Republican Saying Hillary Lied About Benghazi

Talk about an inconvenient truth . . . Don't know if we've ever witnessed such a blatant suppression of facts--even on MSNBC. Republican strategist Jessica Proud was a guest this morning on Al Sharpton's MSNBC show, which has been turfed out of its weekday slot and relegated to the early Sunday-morning wilderness. When discussion turned to the Benghazi hearing, Proud pointed out that Hillary,…

NPR and David Brooks Help Hillary Take Benghazi 'Victory Lap'

A "week in politics" like Hillary's latest Benghazi hearing really proves the usefulness of "conservative" public-broadcasting pundit David Brooks. What better way to prove Hillary completely trounced her opponents on the public stage than your completely cooperative "conservative" expert declare the whole thing a rout for Hillary? Brooks denounced a conservative anti-Clinton "psychosis" on both…

What? Romney Decries Rise of Conservative Media

Mitt Romney sounded just like a liberal reporter. “There was a time when we all got the news with the same facts, if you will. We had three networks we watched for the evening news. Most of us got newspapers. Everybody in the middle class got a newspaper, so we got the same facts whether we agreed or not with them.” Now, according to Romney, people “get their news on the web” and “they tend to…

Not News: UAW Mulls Plan to Milk Unemployment System in a GM Strike

The news coming out of Detroit about near-deadline negotiations between the United Auto Workers union and General Motors has been pretty quiet. As the Sunday 11:59 p.m. deadline approaches, the Associated Press only has a four-paragraph blurb indicating that the union wants to get a richer package than it just garnered in negotiations with Fiat Chrysler. A Reuters report goes into detail about GM…

Amanda Marcotte: Paul Ryan Thinks Family Life’s Only For the Rich

After Paul Ryan vowed that he wouldn’t reduce time spent with his family even if he became Speaker of the House, quite a few liberals accused the Wisconsin congressman of hypocrisy given that he has, in the words of one feminist site, “spent much of his political career fighting laws that promote realistic work-life balance for parents.” Lefty pundit Marcotte believes that Ryan is even worse…
