During their Tuesday night broadcast of Evening News CBS directed the blame for the Orlando terrorist attack towards American Christians, even though it was carried out by a pledged member of the Islamic State. To ease into the Christian bashing host Scott Pelley stated, “There has been so much progress for the LGBT Community, but we are now reminded that fear is still a constant reality.”

Each of the network evening newscasts devoted the duration of their air time to the terrorist attack on a gay nightclub in Orlando and, unfortunately, the networks immediately rushed to the issue of gun control and did only the bare minimum to highlight Omar Mateen’s radical Islamic beliefs.

Thursday’s CBS Evening News featured a segment in which chief medical correspondent Dr. Jon LaPook tag-teamed with the White House and House Minority Leader Nancy Pelosi to attack Republicans for not going along with demands to create $1.9 billion (that could be passed through Congress) to allow the CDC and NIH to fight the Zika virus.

As part of an interview with GOP presidential candidate John Kasich that aired on Tuesday’s CBS Evening News, anchor Scott Pelley fretted that Kasich might “tear out ObamaCare, root and branch, start all over again” and signal to the American people that they will be “going to war” to defeat ISIS. 

All too happy to give a hand to those opposed to religious freedom laws, the CBS Evening News continued to play its part in chastising those in favor of religious freedom and so-called bathroom bills with North Carolina’s version being “roiled by backlash, boycott threats, and bigotry allegations.”

In almost identical fashion to their hysteria concerning the defeat of transgender bathroom bill in Houston from November, Thursday’s CBS Evening News painted quite the doomsday scenario for Georgia and North Carolina over their respective religious freedom bills as the newscast argued they could lead to massive boycotts and the loss of billions of dollars in business.

On Thursday, ABC’s World News Tonight and the CBS Evening News chose not to be the arbiter of whether Donald Trump or Ted Cruz was in the wrong concerning the debate over the wives and despite the fact Cruz had nothing to do with an ad of a naked Melania Trump, the newscasts painted Cruz as down in the mud with Trump for “defending the virtue of his wife.”

On Monday night amidst the voluminous amount of Cuba coverage, ABC’s World News Tonight and NBC Nightly News made sure to not inform their viewers of an ominous and disturbing backdrop hours earlier when President Obama and a portion of the U.S. delegation stood in Havana’s Revolution Square with a mural of the brutal leftist leader Che Cuevara in the background.
